holy crapola december!

hey everyone!!

sorry for not updating for a while! things have been really busy with me! i started my job as testimonial assistant and everything has been going great! the people i work with are super nice and amazing. it's a completely different atmosphere from sodexo, that's for sure, in the best way possible! it's also nice because although i have the same tasks that i do everyday, putting people in the database, i also get different tasks that keep me busy. i really like it here and hope that it turns into more than just three months!

i can't believe that it's december.. and halfway over at that! this time next week tory and i will be on a plane to Fort Lauderdale! we're sooooo pumped! we're going on a cruise with tory's family and some of their friends. i can't wait! it will be such a good time! it will also be nice to relax and have a vacation! although i like going home and everything, it gets stressful trying to see everyone and it'll be nice to just stay in one place and not have to stress about seeing people! i'm really looking forward to relaxing and hopefully getting a tan! wahoo!! ;)

everything has been super busy since i started my new job! i work everyday from 8:30-5;30 and get home around 6:15pm or so every night and then i cook dinner (or try to) and then it's to sleep and do it all again! that's another reason why i'm really looking forward to a vacation! tory and scott are working on another short video this weekend... so we're going to have a super busy weekend too... i'm sure it will all go great! i'm looking forward to helping, but hopefully i'll get some sleep this weekend too!! :)

thanksgiving went amazing! it was so much fun!! tory's parents and steve came over to eat lunch with tory and i. i made turkey, ham, corn, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, crescent rolls, pumpkin pie, and an apple pie. tory made the green beans! everything turned out great!! we made jello shots, a new thanksgiving tradition that we started last year. we played games for about 4 or 5 hours after we ate! joel, scott, katie, and erica came to join us later. we had such a great time! cooking was fun. it's nice to have a relaxing thanksgiving, even though i'm the one doing all of the work... i stay pretty relaxed! we had sooooo much fun with tory's parents. we went and saw 'West Side Story' on broadway here. it was okay.. they didn't get the casting right for some roles and it wasn't as good as the movie... soo.. oh well, it was fun to see it anywho! we found the greatest bloody mary bar everrrrr in the city! it's called 'The Board Room' they also make bacon wrapped tater tots, which i didn't think sounded too good but were AMAAAAZING. i've been thinking about them every day since. hahaha. such a good thanksgiving!

i'm really looking forward to next week!! wahoooo!! it'll be a fun christmas! i hope y'all have a good christmas!! wish you all were coming with us!!!!!

a new beginning!

hello everyone!

sorry that i've been a little bad about updating this lately! i have some good news but not too much time to write because i have to make dinner here in a wee bit!

anywho, so you all know how i got shafted and the job that i was offered was given to someone else who had been with the company for a year.. well temporarily at least. so i got an e-mail last monday from the lady in charge, tamra, and she said that she wanted to meet with me on friday. i was excited, but cautious, so i didn't want to write anything! i got called into work on thursday because someone was sick and tamra told me that she wanted to meet with me on thursday instead.. so i was like okay! anywho, at the meeting she told me that she and the chick were switching back and i was getting the testimonial assistant job!! (the job that i had been going in for interviews since may.) just as a contract though, so as of right now, for the next three months i am working full time at Lieberman Productions as a Testimonial Assistant! whoo hooo! i started last friday and so far i am really enjoying it. for the most part it's just data entry and being organized.. but it's nice to do something that actually matters! it's also extremely nice to be working full time again! it's been a loooooong time!! :) i work with five other girls and they are all so nice... i'm so happy to be working with girls! i'm hoping that we can all become friends! :) it's also in san francisco so it's fun to work in the city.. even though this place isn't in the best part of town.. i get a nice 10 minute walk to/from the BART station every day so that's nice. another nice part is not hating it... i was worried there for a while... things are looking up!

this weekend was super busy! i helped tory and scott out on a shoot. it went pretty good! we only got kicked out of one location, so that was good and we were pretty much done there anywho. the shoot was for an indian music video. we were working pretty much 7-5ish everyday... so we didn't get much of a weekend. this weekend i'm not going to get too much down time either, but i'm excited anywho! i have a bunch of cleaning and grocery shopping to do to get ready for thanksgiving! i can't wait! so far tory's parents are coming and maybe steve and phil and maybe kurt (tory's friends). kurt is from LA and he came up last year so it would be fun if he started to come up every year for thanksgiving! i love thanksgiving! i'm so excited!!!!

i can't believe we're already half way thru november... that's so crazy! i'll try to update this as much as i can! i guess the only bad thing about this new job is that i can't watch tv on-line all day and update this blog every other day.. hahaha... :) ahhh it's nice to not be bored out of my mind!!

why helllllloooo!!!

hey everyone!

sorry for the delay. things have been a little hectic ever since i got back from home!

home was good! it was nice to spend time with my dad and sisters! it was also nice to spend some time with some friends! it was a good trip all in all!! it went by really fast!! but it was nice to come back home to cali.. i think tory hadn't been eating all week! haha, j/k.. but it was good to visit, but also nice to be back :)

i got a very weird phone call when i was home from the proactiv company which was very upsetting. they told me that someone was upset that they hadn't been talked to about the position that i was offered, so now that person has the job that i interviewed for, have been talking to them about since may... and i have her job. her job is pretty boring and requires a high school diploma, so i feel like i'm using my brain... it's very upsetting after everything that this happened. i don't know what i'm going to do. i barely work two days a week.. this week it's mon and thurs and next week i only work fri... so annoying. what i'm doing is stocking stuff and making coffee... it is extremely boring. i don't know what i'm going to do. they are 'testing' out this person in that position for three weeks (i'm doing her job for three weeks) and from there they will decide (i'm guessing) if they want to keep her in that position and want me to try it out or what. i don't know what i'm going to do if they want me to keep doing this other position. it is extremely boring and i feel like i deserve so much more than this. i didn't go to college for four years to stock crap and make coffee. i mean i'm finally working for a production company, but i should have the job that i interviewed for... i don't know what i'm going to do. it's a very messed up situation to say the least. it's only been three working days so far... but i mean when i was at sodexo i at least liked it for the first few months, this job i'm just bored every time i walk into work... hmph...

this past weekend was fun! on friday tory and i went to dinner and a movie. we saw jackass 3d... tory liked it! i thought it was pretty funny... sometimes a little too gross.. but it was good! saturday we hung out with phil and steve in the city and watched the giants game. i can't believe they won the world series!! we ended up going to the city for a couple of hours last night because scott and tory wanted to check out this open mic. holy crapola... the city was INSANE! i have never been around something so crazy! people and cars were just parked in intersections... nothing was moving, fireworks going off! it was crazy! and this was like three hours after the giants won it! i can only imagine what the city looks like today!!

i think i have a gig tomorrow being a production coordinator for a shoot! i don't know yet for sure, but if i do get it i will update about it!

i'm making a crock pot roast for dinner tonight! should be good! finally went grocery shopping today! felt good to pick some stuff up!! i also voted today! that was exciting! my first time voting in california!! i didn't have to wait in line either!! whoo hoo!! the ballot here was ridiculous.. i had no idea that there was going to be so many props and other stuff to vote on! i left most of them blank because i was afraid that i would vote the wrong way. next time i'll have to pay more attention!

good news!

hey everybodyyyy!

last week i was sick, so that was not fun. i didn't do a lot.. just slept... so not too much to report about last week!

anywho, so i got an e-mail yesterday from the proactiv people and they said they would call me today. i talked with them on the phone and they offered me a contract position! it would just be for a month and then from there they would figure out if i would stay on or they would go with someone else i guess! so after i get back from ky i will be working for them on wednesday's and thursday's from 8:30-5:30pm. whoo hoo! it'll be good to be making some money even if it is part-time and under a contract... i'm not going to get my hopes up though just in case.

i also got a call from the temp agency.. i will be stuffing envelops tomorrow in the city.. whoo hoo! haha, oh well, at least it's some moola!

not too much is going on over here. just getting ready to go home on tuesday! it'll be nice to spend some time w/my dad and sisters and some friends! i'm looking forward to it!

i just got done making fudge a wee bit ago and on monday i made apple crisp. i think they both turned out pretty good, so that's good!

this weekend will be a packed one! friday tory, scott and myself are going to a free play in the city! so that will be exciting! saturday the giants play so i'm sure we'll watch that and then after that we have a soccer game to go to in san jose! it's san jose vs. houston at 7pm! so that will be fun and it will be extra nice that it's a night game so i won't die of over heating :) then sunday is this music festival on treasure island that we're going to go to! the national and she & him will be playing so that will be a good ol time!

it's octoberrrr!!!!

hellllllo everyone!!

it's been a crazy couple of weeks with new york and then trying to get on a normal schedule back in berkeley! so, sorry i haven't written in a while.. anywho... on with it!

new york was awesome! it was so much fun! it was pretty suhhweet to stay in brooklyn and then hop on the subway to get to the tribeca for nytv festival! it was fun to explore some of the city but we didn't get that much time off because we had a lot of screenings and lectures to go too. i didn't haaaave to go to them but figured it was safer to go with the boys than be left on my own to wander nyc... hahaha. we got a couple of day trips in where we got to go to central park and times square. we weren't able to spend too long on the day trips though since we had to get back to the screenings, etc. we got to see a lot of cool people! jason sudeikis from snl, kerri russle, will arnett, david cross, michael emerson (from lost) and the creator of arrested development!! sadly the boys didn't win anything... sooo that was sorta lame. oh well, maybe next year!! all in all it was a good trip, i just wish we would've had the time to go see a broadway show or tory and myself would've been able to go to a nice dinner.. but oh well! the lady that we stayed with in brooklyn, hadley, she was super nice. hopefully we will be able to stay with her again if we go back! she had a nice apartment and was super friendly... that makes everything way easier!

i couldn't believe how hot it was in nyc! i couldn't believe it! it was even weirder when we got back to cali and it was soooo hot! but now it's nice feeling again. for the past week all of the boys have been sick... they've been pushing themselves too hard! i've been pretty tired for the past week as well, so i've been sleeping a lot trying not to get sick.

this morning i went to get coffee and shop a little with my friend from the california building, anna! we had a blast! i got a drying rack that i'm pretty excited about! it's always nice to catch up and go shopping! i'm sure it will happen a lot more often now that she lives closer! wahoooo!

other than that it has been a slow saturday... i've been cleaning a lot and tory was at a shoot all day and now he is at a screening in the city for a short film that scott is in! while cleaning i had the unc vs ecu game pulled up on my laptop so i was able to watch/listen while i cleaned. that was fun because my dad would call me every time something happened and we would talk about it.. like the good ol days when we would watch games together! it was fun! tory is feeling better today, so that's good. i think when he gets home from the screening we're gonna watch shutter island and drink some wine! we had pita pizza's for dinner! something is going bonkers with our oven though.. it's a gas oven and when i turn it on it takes FOOOOOOOOOOOOOREVER to heat... and all it does is make the whole house smell like gas. it's just horrible! i don't know if it's because we've been gone and haven't used it or what... but it's not cool! i was trying to surprise tory today by making his birthday cake.. (only a month late).. but it took an hour just to cook it!!!! when it should've taken like 30 minutes! hmph... i guess we will have to get that checked out...

anywho, i'm looking forward to having a relaxing sunday! i hope you all have had a great couple of weeks! hope you all have had a great weekend!

busy busy

hey everyone!

sorry for not posting last week, the end of the week got a little crazy over here! i had to be at work at 7am on friday, which means that i had to wake up at 5:30am in order to get here on time! geeeez.. no fun at all! anywho, after work i helped out the boys with their production of goatherder, which means that i left work and went directly to the shoot! my friday went from 5:30am to 6am sat morning. i never pulled an all nighter in college... and man oh man, this was tough! but all in all it wasn't too bad because i was helping with something i enjoy and i was actually doing something and not just sitting behind a computer! anywho, the shoot went great, everything looks good! saturday i woke up at about 4pm and had to get ready to do it all again on sat night.. we went from 6pm to about 7am on sunday... i was tired! sunday i slept until about 2pm and woke up and started cleaning and doing little things around the house that needed to get done. we had a busy weekend to say the least! i thought i was getting sick fri/sat night, so i've been drinking green tea like a crazy person! i can't get sick before NYC!!!

anywho, it was a good weekend, it was really nice to be helping the boys out and doing the film thing. so much better than sitting behind a desk all day, that's for sure! i like being able to help them out!

i received an e-mail today about a part-time position in berkeley for a post-production assistant sorta job! i was 1/12 out of 250 applicants that they have sifted through! we have a short little phone conversation and he told me that he would let me know later this week if i get an in-person interview, so i guess we will see what happens! i also got an e-mail from proactiv today saying that they still haven't filled the position that i applied for back in may... haha, oh lordy. anywho, i wrote them back telling them that i am temping at the moment, so hey, i guess we'll see what happens with them as well!

after working in the city these past five weeks i will have spent $175 ($35/week) on transportation alone... i don't like that one bit, especially since this company isn't helping me out in that area at all. ehh, i don't know. i like working in the city and all but it is so freaking expensive to get here and so time consuming! i don't think i would like a full time job here... in other news, my last day here is on friday! whoo hooooo! i'm so excited! i will be happy when this job is over with. it was nice to meet some new people, but geez, some of these girls are just ridiculous. it reminds me of why i hated high school so much. it's sad that some people never grow up! i don't think i would want a full time position here even if they offered me one. my supervisor today said something to me about how i say "i'm going to go pee" and she said that was unprofessional. i mean, i understand what she is saying, i guess maybe it's because i'm from ky or something.. but she went on about it for like 5 minutes and it's like, geez, i get it now i'm just embarrassed! i am very ready for this temp assignment to be over with :) it's just lame to be a temp b/c the people treat you like they are never going to see you again, which i understand, but i mean if i was at a company and a temp was here, i would go out of my way to help them feel welcome, no matter what! ehhh.. like i said earlier, some people never grow up.

i can't say it enough that i can't wait for this week to be over with! i am sooooooo excited for next monday!! this time next week tory, scott, joel and myself will be in New York!!!!!!! i cannot wait!!!!! i am so so so so so pumped!!! i'm so ready for a vacation!! we're going to have so much fun!!!! yaaaaayyyy! NYC here we come!!!!!

in other news, i'm going to be coming home oct 19-26! i'm really excited to be coming home! it will be nice to spend some time with my family and friends and just to relax at home for a bit! these next couple of months i feel good things happening!! :) let's hope i get a real job and no more temp jobs!!! we'll see what happens!! hope you all got a lot of rest this weekend!!!

2 more weeks!

hey everyone!

hope you all are doing great! i've been pretty busy with work going from 6:30am-6:30pm... it's a long day making it all the way over to san francisco by 8:30am! anywho, it's been good some days and not so good on others.. like with any job. i was just told yesterday that my temp position will be extended for two more weeks.. so that's good. at least i'll be making some more money!

i was looking forward to helping tory and the boys (scott and joel) out with joel's short film, goatherder. go to this website to check it out: http://www.indiegogo.com/Goatherder?i=fcbk sadly, you can't give any more money at this time. but anywho, with my job extension, i won't be able to help out as much as i would've liked... so that sucks :( hmph... i would've liked to get more hands on experience with doing the stuff that i like most... but i have to make some money.

everything is going good. i've been cooking about the same amount.. so that's good! i think this week we've eaten at home mon-fri! so that's good. last night we had eggs, bacon and toast for dinner. the night before that i got a jar of indian sauce that's like chicken tikka missala.. put some chicken in a skillet and threw it all together with some rice and naan! that was really good. sorry, i'm getting worse at taking pictures of the things that i make... but i don't really consider that something that i "made" even though i cooked it... haha. then the night before that i made homemade spaghetti sauce, homemade bread sticks with whole wheat pasta. tuesday we had a little snack since we went and saw a movie with the boys (scott and joel).

we have movie night every tuesday. it's fun! this week we went and saw a french film, Mesrine: Public Enemy #1. it was pretty intense! it came out a couple years ago in france and just now came out here! it was a pretty good movie, although there were a couple times that i couldn't look at the screen because it was yiiiiiiiiiiiikes! but it was an interesting film. also, it's split into two parts, so that's exciting! the 2nd part comes out in two weeks, so i will be excited to see the conclusion!

wednesday i went and hung out with my friend that worked in Haas Pavilion (the same building that sodexo was in), anna! it was so nice to have some girl time and just talk about what's going on in our lives, etc. she wanted to go dress shopping since she is going to a wedding in a couple weeks, so we went and i tried on some pretty dorky dresses, but it was a good time! i'm sure we'll do it again soon!

i'm glad it will be a long weekend! i'm ready to sleep in and catch up on some things that i need to do around the house! also, it will be nice to help out the boys for a day! whoo hoo! in other news, i told you guys about NYTV Festival.. well, guess whattttt!? i'm on IMDB! tory and myself are getting pretty excited about going to new york in a couple of weeks! have i told you guys about that yet? well anywho, we are going to new york for the festival from the 20-27! scott and joel are going too! i think it will be a great time and i think we are going to be able to get tickets for all of us for the daily things. if they can't get me a ticket for everyday, that's fine... i'm sure it would be easy to occupy myself with some shopping... even though i really shouldn't buy anything. haha! tory also found this awesome house that we are going to be staying at in brooklyn with an older lady. tory, scott and i will share a room, so that will be interesting. i don't think it will be a problem at all. it won't bother me one bit since we will be staying there the whole time for a total of $750!!! that's such a steal!!! we are very excited about it and it's super safe and close to the subway! i think tory told me it was rated the number 1 neighborhood in nyc! so that's great news! on top of that, i don't think we're getting ripped off so that's even better! hotel rooms were going to be like $350-$400/night... so i think we are verrrrrry lucky!

Meet Our Newest Producer!

Technically she's working at the desk, but Jenn studied film at the University of Kentucky and moved out to California to begin her film career. She's interested in pre and post production and she has experience with Final Cut. I had the great pleasure of meeting Jenn when she saved my life (sent my fax) and when I heard that she wanted to go into film, I wanted to help connect her with people here at the agency. So please stop by and chat when you have a second because Jenn is awesome.

pretty awesome, huh? people here are super nice and friendly. i really like it! although, i would really like to get a chance to start doing some actual film stuff, producing and editing and all that jazz. they have departments like that here too, but they aren't hiring. oh well. it's been a nice week. i like enjoying coming to work. it's a nice change! right now i'm sitting here and drinking a beer while i'm writing this. this pizza and keg friday's is the coolest thing ever. the only downside about working in the city is the whole commute thing. i have to wake up at 6:30am in order to take a shower, eat breakfast, and get out the door to get on bart by 7:30am to get to work by 8:30am. and getting home takes about an hour... but i really don't mind because it's way better than waking up and going to Sodexo every morning at 9am!

this weekend should be fun. tory, steve, phil and myself are going to a san jose earthquakes vs. LA galaxy tomorrow at 1pm! it should be an intense game! they don't like each other at all! i'm not looking forward to sweating my face off though... ekkkk.. haha oh well. it's so weird how i'm so used to the cool weather, anytime it gets to be 72 or so degrees outside i'm like holy crap it's sooooo hot! i am definitely spoiled with the weather living out here!

i'm really ready for the weekend! i can't wait to sleep in even though i don't think we will be sleeping in tomorrow. tottenham plays at 6:30am or something close to that and i know tory wants to venture to the city tomorrow morning to watch it! sunday at least will be a nice sleep in day!

next friday i'll have to bring my camera and take random pics of this place because it is awessssome. such an awesome office. anywho, i hope you guys have a faaaaaabulous weekend!!

new temp job!

hey guys!!

so i just wanted to write a quick little post to let you know that i might not be updating for a while! i got another temp position, this time for THREE WEEKS!!! so that's exciting. it's for a pretty awesome PR firm in the city. below is the website if you want to check them out! the building is at an awesome location and it is surrounded by H&M, prada, coach, the north face, burberry and a bunch of other stores that i can't afford... but H&M is probably going to take most of my paycheck! ekkk! hahaha, today was my first day, i was just learning the ropes/training today from 1-5pm with this chick called Trisha. she was super nice and lives in oakland. she's been a receptionist there for about 2 years now and is just now moving up! she's going to be trying out a new position for the next three weeks, so i guess depending on how that goes and how i do... i guess we'll see if it turns into something more permanent! everyone was really nice and it was pretty laid back, so that was cool! i will even be able to wear jeans next friday which i am SO excited about! wahoooo! i think it will be a nice, fun experience. i'm not going to get my hopes up about anything happening. what's really cool/fun is that they have Keg and Pizza Friday's! this is exactly what it sounds like, they get a keg and like 25 pizzas for the whole office. i think i'm going to like it at this place! hahaha... today i answered phone and did some conference room scheduling. i think that will be my only issue. i got the transferring of the phone calls down pretty fast!

well, i just wanted to let you guys know! i hope you guys have an awesome weekend! tomorrow tory and i are waking up at like 4am to go watch tottenham play their season opener against Manchester United... grrr! it should be a great game and i know tory is beyond ecstatic for it! i'm pretty excited myself, it's been a while since we've been to the bar that early, hahaha. sunday i have to go to work for sodexo again to train the new chick, hopefully this will be my last day doing favors for them. i just want to get my 10 days of vacation time that jeff told me he would give me if i did this crap for them. hopefully he holds up his side of the bargain! we'll see... well, i'm gonna go do something else! have a great weekend!!!

i quit!

heyyy everybody!

i hope y'all are doing good. i'm doing just fine. the temp job last thrusday and friday went great! it was so nice and refreshing to work around such nice people! it really was a nice change. they were all so great. they would always say "thank you" and "please" a billion times. one of the chicks was like "you can listen to your ipod if you want" i was completely blown away by how nice everyone is. it really gives me hope for working in a positive work environment one of these days! i did a lot of random busy work, but i didn't mind because i knew that i was actually helping them to accomplish something. unlike when i did busy work at sodexo, it was just pointless crap that never amounted to anything.

on that note, i quit sodexo. i decided that i would be much happier being unemployed rather than working for my boss for another year. i don't think i would've been able to handle it for another year and would've probably ended up walking out if i had tried. i think i deserve a positive work environment! i feel much better now too. i told him that i got another job, which isn't completely true... obviously.. haha. but now i think i'm going to have to quit getting my unemployment checks.. sooo that sorta sucks. i knew that if i didn't tell him that i got another job then he would try to get me to come back there to work and i didn't really feel like helping him out after all of the crap he put me through. he made me come back in this past weekend already for about 4 hours to sit around and wait for people to come in and sign contracts... about 5 people showed up. so stupid. i'm so glad that i won't have to work there anymore. i feel really sorry for the next person that takes that job, that's for sure!

tory and i had a nice weekend... we didn't do too much, but we had a great sunday! we decided to go to the city and spend the day. we walked in and out of little shops and pubs. it was so nice to spend the day with tory out in the city! we've only really done that when other people are in town so it was really nice to do it with just the two of us. we had such a great time! we got gelato...mmm it was sooo good! we hung around chinatown and north beach (where all of the nice italian restaurants are). we had lunch in chinatown. it was quite a treat! those servers are so funny. they say like 3 words to you the whole time you're there, but the food came super fast after we ordered and there was so much food! i packed up my leftovers and gave them to a homeless person that we saw outside. she said something to me and i panicked so i just said "fried rice!" and gave it to her... she looked at me funny. tory told me that she was probably trying to say thank you. i'm a fool... lol. later in the night we decided to go to the mall area and go see a movie! at the mall we got mrs. fields cookies.. ahh they were sooo good! so needless to say, we didn't eat real dinner until like 10:30pm when we got home! we saw "Dinner for Schmucks" it was probably one of the worst movies ever. i think it was made for like 14 year olds in mind because those were the only people laughing the whole time. we were glad when it was over. we had such a great day! it's so nice that san fran is only 20 mins away. i told tory it's like we can go on a mini-vacation! i also told him that we need to do that at least once every two months! we had too much fun!

well, i think i'm going to do some work, looking at craiglist and anywhere else i can for a job! i'll keep you guys updated! hope you all had a great weekend and have an even better week!

hellllllo everyone!

everything with me is going fine. so i ended up having two interviews on friday of last week. the first one was stupid, they want me to sell stupid sports packages so i say no thanks. the second one was an interview with this company that does temporary and permanent job placement. it went fine. they already wanted me to work this upcoming thurs and friday for a real estate company as a receptionist. so, i guess i'm just going to start temping for now. that's fine with me. i think it will be nice to meet new people everyday and do something different every time. i'm going to keep applying for jobs on craigslist though. i need to figure out how i'm going to tell jeff that i'm not coming back...

this week has been fine, just helping the boys with stuff here and there. i made homemade lasagna on monday night, with spinach and zucchini... sorry i forgot to take pics! last night we had breakfast for dinner, eggs, bacon and biscuits! i forgot to take pics again... sorry! not too much is going on. hopefully the temp job tomorrow will go good. it's going to be weird getting up so early. i have to be there from 8-5pm... and it takes a while to get to the city in the morning, sooo i'll prob have to wake up around 6 or so to leave at 7. yiiiiikes. that will not be too much fun. oh well. well i'm gonna go apply for more jobs on-line. i'll let you know how the job goes! hope you all have a great weekend!

hey everyone!

sorry that i've been slacking on this thing. things have been pretty busy these past couple of weeks! tory's parents and sister and bro-in-law came in around a week ago, so we were busy off having fun with them! we had a good old time, like always when they come to town! it's fun because tory has to take off time from work and he doesn't do that very often! we went to a show called "teatro zinzanni" or something like that. it was so much fun! i don't think that i stopped laughing! we had a great time!

tory has been pretty busy with this new short independent film that they are getting ready for. i've been helping with casting, scheduling people for auditions and whatnot. it's taken a lot of my time, but i'm happy to do it. i wish i could do something like this all of the time! auditions went well, but they still haven't decided on the main people so i think we'll be having auditions again next week.

right now they are getting ready to shoot a commercial for kindle tomorrow. hopefully kindle will like it enough to give them some moola! i think it's a great idea though and that they have a good chance! i've been helping with casting the extras and whatnot for that as well. i think it should turn out to be great! so we'll be doing that all day tomorrow. i'll probably take Z to the dog park after i write this so he won't be too mad at us tomorrow :)

this past wednesday tory and i had to drive to LA for the day to get some lights. it took pretty much all day going down and coming back. we were driving from about 7am-10:30pm. i'm still pretty tired from the drive! we had a great time though and it was pretty much the first time tory have gone on a trip together just me and him... and we've been together almost 2.5 years now! i told him that we need to go on a trip together soon!!!! ...one of these days....

i still haven't heard from the proactiv people. it's getting to be pretty annoying. i can't believe that i'm having to wait this long for jut a part time job. geeeeez. hopefully they'll send me an e-mail next week wanting me to come in again. and hopefully i get the job! geeez louise! hmph oh well. i've been looking on craigslist for other jobs, but i don't want to be another admin asst for a place that i can't grow with, so jobs that i want to do aren't really posting positions that are open. it's been difficult. i wish i didn't have to go back to sodexo, but it looks like i'm probably going to have to go back... hmph...

i surprised tory with half of his bday present on thursday, with concert tickets to go see the dead weather. they are sooooo awesome! they put on a great show! we had an amazing time. we got there pretty early and the show started and about 3 songs in, i started to see just splotches, my eye sight went completely weird. it was really scary, so i told tory that i wasn't feeling so hot and we moved back. after we moved back i was completely fine. i think i just got dehydrated or something. the speakers were pretty much right over us and the lady next to me was pretty much screaming directly into my ear... it was not fun. but after we moved i was a.okay and we were able to watch the rest of the concert without a problem! it was scary though, nothing like that has ever happened to me before! i hope it never happens again! geeeeez! :)

yesterday tory worked all day from 9-7:30pm, so i went to the grocery and got some food to make him a nice dinner. i made crock pot roast, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. i think tory was happy to have a nice dinner ready when he got home! he has been so busy and i feel so bad because i know he is tired!!!! hopefully they'll start late on monday or something, because i think he is going to have the same kind of day today. he needs a break!

i bought a food processor today! wahooo! i'm pumped! i'm going to make some black bean hummus today! i bought feta cheese too to put on it. i'm really excited! hopefully it will turn out okay! well, i'm going to take the doggie to the dog park and do some cleaning since we're going to be shooting some of the kindle shoot tomorrow in our place! yiiiikes! i guess we'll see how that turns out! :) i'm sure it will turn out great, i'll just have to clean all over again on monday! haha, oh well.

everything with me is going fine. we had a really nice 4th of july and went to the marina and watched fireworks with tory's friend, steve. i've been helping out tory and scott cast for a short indie film. it's been fun. i like being able to help them. i looked into taking a pre-production class at the san francisco community college but it will end up being too expensive since i won't get in-state prices... super lame. you have to have lived in california for a year and a half... not just a year. stupid. the class prices go from $26/class, to a bunch of other crapola that comes out to over $200... so i guess i'll be waiting.

about the job.... sooo i think they are seriously not going to contact me. i've tried e-mailing.. i tried to e-mail them again yesterday and now the girl mysteriously doesn't have that e-mail anymore? so i called her, she was "busy" so i left a message. do you think i got a call back? nope. i seriously can't believe how they are being. like how do you not contact someone after you have had a phone conversation (30 mins), 2 in person interviews (1 hour, 30 mins) and had them come out ... like i seriously am so upset the whole way they are going about doing things. it makes me not want to apply for another job. so annoying. but i can't really find anything in my field that i would really want to apply for anyway... there wouldn't be a point of applying for another admin position and then starting over with that whole thing. so it looks like i'll be going back and being an admin for sodexo again. hmph.

sweet summer

helllllloooo!

sorry that it's been so long since i've posted. i've been super busy. my trip home was a ton of fun. it was good to see friends and the family. the lake party was so much fun!! i was so glad that i was able to come this year and that laura and dad were also able to make it. it was nice to be home. hopefully next time will be longer though!

i had my second in person interview with that company and am still waiting to hear back from them. they said that it would be later this week since they had a big shoot this weekend, but i'm starting to get uneasy! i guess if i haven't heard from them by 5pm tomorrow, i will write them an e-mail just letting them know that i am still interested! i haven't really found any other jobs on-line that are in my field... but i'm going to keep looking. we'll see...

tory's friend scott came in town last wednesday, so we've been busy entertaining. i took him to all of the fun touristy stuff since he had never been to california before. we had a great time. i'm so tired now though. i'm ready to sleep for a while. i'll probably be pretty lazy the rest of the week and try to get over this thing. i feel like i've had this for almost a month now. soooo lame. hmph, hopefully it will pass soon.

my dad is going to north carolina this weekend. i wish i could go! i miss going to north carolina. it feels like it's been such a long time! i wish plane tickets weren't so expensive and i would be there in a heartbeat! but i definitely can't afford that right now w/being laid off and all that jazz. hmph, maybe next year... who knows..

yeaaaa... so not much is going on... i'll let you guys know if/when i ever hear from the job people... hopefully it will be soon and it will be positive! ahhhh! we'll see...

some dinners... life...

this was the pizza that we made last night... notice how it is half eaten because i forgot to take a pic of the final product... woops. anywho, it had sausage, bacon, green peppers, red peppers and onions! it was tassssty!!! i ate too much of it!

i made this a couple weeks ago... roast beef, mashed potatoes, and a caesar salad... mmm. mighty tasty. this is one of tory's favorite meals and it's super easy!

i also made this dinner a couple weeks ago.. it's called mexican chicken, it has salsa and cheese on top of it! it was okay... not my fav, but the green beans, salad and baked potato were mighty good! mmmm!

well tory and i are leaving for kentucky tonight! it will be nice to be home!! i'm excited to see laura, sarah, and my dad!! and of course all of my other friends that i will hopefully get a chance to see for at least a wee bit! i haven't started packing yet, soooo i should probably start to do that soon just so it can be out of the way and i don't have to think about it. i can't wait for the lake party this weekend! it's going to be so much fun!! i'm excited that laura and my dad are going to be able to come too! it should be a great time!!

well, i had that interview for the part time job on monday. i think it went pretty good. it lasted about an hour, so that's a good sign i think. i made them laugh a lot, or at least i think i did, so that's good too! it's hard when you're being interviewed by two people because eye contact is so much harder, trying to pay attention to both of them and not make them feel like you're leaving one of them out! haha, oh well! anywho, i wrote them a thank-you e-mail monday night and they wrote me back tuesday around noon saying that they wanted to see me again on thursday!!! ahhhhh!! well, i told them in the interview that i would be leaving town wednesday night, so they said that they would just wait to see me again on tuesday! sooooo, hopefully that interview will go good and i can start working again soon! although this whole getting laid off thing isn't too bad, haha. it's nice being able to take it easy and hang out with the boys. and i haven't really had all that much down time anywho trying to get everything together for the trip! well, i'll let you guys know how the interview on tuesday goes! hope you guys have an awesome weekend!!

laid offffff

hello everyone!

i hope everyone is doing great. i am a.okay. i had a blast while becca and brittany were here! we had so much fun! went shopping in san fran on thursday, dinner in north beach.. mmm. friday we went to stinson beach w/britt's family from sacramento, drove over the golden gate bridge... but it was soooooo freaking foggy! it made me mad!! oh well, that just means that they'll have to come back! saturday we woke up early and went on our bike, wine, and dine trip! it was soooo much fun!! we were smart though and decided to share a wine tasting glass at the different vineyards. i ended up with a farmers sunburn from the ride, but it was worth it! sunday we went to sausalito with tory and his family and ms. yvonne and bob! we took a ferry from san fran to the little city. it was too cute! we had so much fun! we went back to the city and had the best bloody mary's ever at zeitgeist!!! after that we had mexican in the haight/ashbury area! and monday the girls left.. :( all in all i had a great time and hope that they did too!! it was nice to have some girl friends in town!! i hope they come back again soon! tuesday i went wine tasting again with tory and his parents and their friends! it was so much fun!! it was nice to not have to bike everywhere, because my butt hurt!! :) we had soooooo much fun at all of the different places!!!! it was nice to see some new vineyards and to go to francis ford coppola's winery and another winery that looked like a castle! it was sooo neat!!! we had a great time!! they are sooooooo much fun!!!

well, monday i was supposed to have an in-person interview for this job, but the lady called and had to move it. i now have an interview on monday, hopefully it will go good! it would be for the company that does proactiv commercials, part time, as a testimonial asst. i would be in charge of sending out free samples, getting people to do the commercials and some other stuff.. it sorta sounds like what i do here, but with more responsibility which i am so ready for. i will let you guys know how the interview goes!

i came into work on wednesday and noticed a piece of paper that was on the bulletin board type thing that i keep all of my sports schedules, it read: imporant numbers, state unemployment office. i was like whaaaaaat? so, around 11 or so my boss finally walks in and is like, "we need to talk" well... needless to say, i got laid off. today is my last day in the office. i'm fine with it. i already filed for unemployment... i'd rather get laid off than have to come in every day of the summer in this windowless place! hopefully the interview on monday will go great and i'll be working again in no time! but, we'll see.. i'm not going to get my hopes up about it just because i don't want to be disappointed like last time! i just know that i'm not going to apply for any admin job, if i'm going to start over from scratch being an admin asst i want it to be for a production company where there is a chance of moving up!

this time next week tory and i will be home! i'm excited. it's only for a short period of time, but it will be nice to be home for a wee bit. i'll be in lou all day on thurs and fri and then head to the lake on saturday for tory's parents big lake party! it's going to be so much fun!! i can't wait!! i think dad, laura, and bryan are going to come too!! i still need to double check w/sarah to see if she has asked jeff if he was interested or not! either way, it should be a great time. then sunday we're going to have a cookout at the house for father's day! i can't wait!

holy crapola it's almost june!

hey everyone!

hope y'all are doing good. i'm fine.. but i've been having some issues lately. the past couple months i had these dizzy spells in the middle of the night where i would wake up and throw up, go back to sleep. it happened twice two months ago and again on monday night. yesterday at work i got really dizzy for a couple of hours and had to leave work early. i don't know what's going on but noooooooo i'm not pregnant! hmph, all i know is that i hope they go away soon. getting dizzy is the worst!! bleh.. i don't want to go back to the dr because i was just there last week to get a physical and i only get 4 visits a year. hmph, i hope it all goes away.

this past week has been fine other than that. i got an e-mail the other day for a 'testimonial assistant' position. i would sort of still be doing admin work but for a production company that does 'proactiv' commercials and other infomercials like those. it would be a part time job, but i think it would be a great learning experience and definitely a step in the right direction. i had a phone interview with them today and i think it went pretty well. i don't know, i'm not going to get my hopes up about it like i did the last time, but i'll keep you guys posted. they said that the next step would be an in person interview, there might be one or two of those. but, i'll get an e-mail from them letting me know if i get an interview! i'll let you guys know!

wednesday tory and i went and saw 'the national' in concert (they're a band!) it was sooooo awesome!! they are sooo good and it was nice to have a night out with just me and tory :) tory had gotten me tickets for my bday! he did good!! we had a great time and it was in oakland so we were able to drive there and get home in 10 mins! that was really nice. i like going to concerts, i'm sure we'll go to more in the future, it's hard to say no when so many good groups come here to play!

phil (tory's friend) has some guy friends in town this weekend, so i think we might hang out with them tonight. the boys are all going to a san jose earthquakes game tomorrow night for a "guys night" i think they'll have a great time! i'm going to hang out with my friend megan, who i worked with at jupiter for a while, so that'll be nice! i'm looking forward to having some chick time! then i have to spend the rest of the weekend cleaning and getting everything ready for becca and brittany to come!! i'm so excited to show them all around where i'm living now and what i'm up to! they'll be here from june 2-7th. i can't wait!!!!!!! we're going to have so much fun! one day we're going to go to napa and do this bike, ride, and dine thing where you ride bikes between the wineries!! i think it should be a bunch of fun and i've never been to napa before so i can't wait!!!!!!! wahoooooo!!!! i'm sure they'll have a blast! i'll make sure that they dooooo! then after they leave tory's parents will be in town with some friends, so that'll be so much fun! i love it when they come to visit!! :) then after that we'll be back in ky for a few days and then back here and tory's friends, scott and erin come in from colorado! we're going to be having a super busy june!! it'll be nice!!

i hope everyone is doing good. i'm doing fine. i'm just tired and bored out of my mind. i'm so tired of this job. i've been applying for other jobs, got an interview for a job that would've been perfect for me.. admin job at a production company, went to the interview, it went great, they gave me a ridiculous amount of homework that took me from 5pm-midnight.... long story short, didn't get the job because i don't have enough "experience" blah. i'm so over working. i feel like just taking off a year and helping out w/tory and his production company doing random stuff, but i wouldn't be able to afford it. blah. i just hate this job so much. i hate talking to one or two people a day for like 5-10 mins tops.. like i can't handle it anymore. i NEED to be busy. i NEED to be doing stuff... i feel like i'm just getting dumber everyday that i'm here. blahhhhhh i hope i find a job that works for me sometime sooooooon.

hmph.. i've been in a bad mood lately ever since i didn't get the job and haven't been able to snap out of it. i feel like i get upset everyday and it's just sooooooooooo annoying. i don't know what my problem is, but i hope i snap out of it soon. at least brittany and becca are coming to visit soon. that will be nice to be around some friends. i feel like i have none here. and esp with everything that is going on with me, i need some good chick friends that i can hang out with... and i just don't have any. i don't feel like writing anymore, i'm just too negative lately.

well, life is a going. i've been applying to places left and right and feel good about the future... so, i'm hoping that i'll have a new job by july or august. i guess we'll see what happens...

i'm leaving work early today because tory's friend, danielle, has a short film in the International Film Festival in San Francisco! so, we're going to go watch her film at 3:30pm and then from there we are going to head to San Jose to see CONAN O'BRIEN!!!!!!!!!!! i'm soooooooo excited!!!! beth and gary got us tickets and i am sooooo freaking excited!!!!! it'll be so awesome to see conan in person after watching him on tv for so long!!! i can't wait!!!!!

i'm going to start taking pictures of the dinners i make... my friend anna told me that it would be a good idea to put them on my blog and i think she is right! sunday i made pot roast w/mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a salad. monday i made chicken fajitas w/rice and black beans. last night i made pizza w/chicken, bacon, red peppers, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes! that was the only one i got a picture of... i forgot about the other days, but i'll start taking pics i promise!! :) i made derby pie on saturday.. it was really good. i made enough for two pies, so that was sort of a mistake.. hahaha :) too much pie... well, i guess there can never be "too much" pie.

friday is my birthday! i can't believe that it's already here. it's sort of bittersweet though b/c i'm not going to be spending it with any of the people that i've been celebrating it with for the past 22 years. it's sad that i can't go home and celebrate it with my family. it's something that i will have to get used to. but hopefully next year i will have a good job with tons of new friends at this time. i guess we'll see what happens! i think i'm going to buy myself a present... not that i haven't been buying myself presents already... coachella and wine tasting trip w/brittany and becca... hahaha. anywho, my car cd player hasn't been working right for the past 3 or 4 years and i think it's time to splurge and get it fixed for $100 or so.. everytime i put a cd in there it will just stop working, or it will work for a little bit and then clunk out. it's prob one of the most annoying things in the world. grrrrrr. i don't know, i'm thinking about it... but i might wait just a wee bit longer to do it. beth sent me an awesome herb growing kit.. it is AWESOME!!!!! i've already planted 5 different types of seeds and the thyme is already sprouting and i only started on saturday!!!! so, i'm going to have to go out and buy some pots and gardening gloves!! i'm so excited!! i need a fun hobby and i think gardening is a good one to have!! :)

COACHELLA!!!!!!!!

sorry that it's been a while since i've written. things have been a little busy here. my boss has been giving me a bunch of busy work to do... i think b/c he knows that i'm trying to get a new job and it will make the job of the new person coming in a whole lot easier. i didn't get the job that i wrote about in my last e-mail, but that's okay. it was about a 30-40 minute drive away and that's without traffic. i applied to another place yesterday, which sounded PERFECT! it's in the city, which is fine. i'd be doing pretty much the same thing that i do here, being an admin assistant, but i'd be doing it for a SF productioni company!!!! i really hope i get it. i think i would just be so much happier being in that kind of atmosphere. regardless, i'm going to keep looking and applying like a crazy person. i think i'm for sure going to be laid off for june/july, so i need to get something soon!!!

OMG. this weekend was seriously the greatest weekend of my LIFE!!!!!! it was seriously so much fun i don't even know where to being to explain it!! tory, steve (tory's old roomie) and myself went to coachella, which is this HUGE three day music festival in indio, ca. waaaaaaaay south ca, close to mexico. it was soooo much fun. we saw sooooooooo many amazing bands.. i'm still in shock that we went!!! feels like a dream. we left thurs and drove for about 8-9 hours. we had to wait in line for our car to be searched for probably an hour or two. we finally got to our camp spot and started setting up and our neighbors turned out to be the coolest people ever!!! we totally lucked out!!! they were all from colorado so that was super cool that they came all this way for the festival!!! we saw a buuuuuunch of bands.. everyone from jay-z, muse, gorillaz, dead weather, vampire weekend, them crooked vulchers, mgmt, faith no more, thom york+flee, phoenix, temper trap, she & him, the avett brothers, spoon, portugal, the man and a bunch of other bands that i can't think of. it was sooooo amazing and sooooo worth the money. i think we'll probably be doing it again next year!! :) wayyyyyy too much fun. it was just what i needed, that's for sure!!

i'm super pumped for this weekend tooo because beth and gary are coming for a visit!!!! whoo hooooo!! i'm sooooooo excited to see them :) it should be another great weekend, that's for sure!!

ohhhhhh!! listen up!!! TORY IS GOING TO BE ON TRAUMA NEXT MONDAY (4/26) @ 9pm!!! make sure you watch!!!!!! i know we will be watching!!!!!!! it should be an awesome episode!! i'm really excited about it!!!

my friends brittany and becca will be coming to visit in june!! so i'm pretty excited about that!! i think we're going to go wine tasting in napa valley, which i haven't done yet, so i'm pretty pumped about it!! i'm so excited for some people to be coming to visit!! whooo hoooooo!!!!

new job?

a massive mosquito tried to kill me yesterday in my office. it was scary. :) hahaha.

things have been really rough lately with work. i'm ready for a new job. i just can't handle my boss' negativity anymore. it ruins my day and i have enough of my own stuff going on in my life to worry about. so, i've started applying to place and heard back from one of them today!!! ahhhhh!! it would be working for a chiropractric office, but i think i would be learning the ropes of being a chiropractric.. which would be interesting and different, but i think it would be awesome! the commute would be about an hour away, but i think it would be so worth it to be around people that are positive and upbeat instead of the negativity that i am around all day. it's exhausting!! i don't know, i guess we'll see if i even get the interview. i told them that i would be able to go to the interview tomorrow at 6:05pm, but they said space is limited, so i'm guessing they'll e-mail me back if i get a spot or what! it would be a mass interview w/what i'm guessing 20-30 people/interview. so that's a little nerve wrecking! i hope i get this job or get another interview soon!! i really want a new job!!!!!!!!

i asked my boss if i would have a job in june & july and he said that he didn't know yet and that he was trying to figure it out. but he's been asking me to do all of this stuff that i could be doing during the summer.. so i feel like i'm going to not have a job and then they're going to hire someone else. i just don't think he wants me here anymore.. whatever. all the stuff he's asking me to do is stuff that i had to do at the beginning of the season last year.. sooo.. i don't know.. i just don't think they want me here anymore.. that's not a good feeling after you've been busting your butt all year. :( hmph.. i just want a job where i'm appreciated!!!

well, that's about all that is going on here.. nothing too crazy has been going on. we weren't able to go camping last weekend because of the weather.. but coachella (this huge music festival) is next weekend and i couldn't be more excited!! i've never been to a music festival like this!!!!!! i'm pumped!!!! :)

blah. i hate my stupid job. i get yelled at for the dumbest things... ever!!! today i got yelled at for nodding my head and agreeing with someone. i can't wait to see what i get yelled at for next! i really hope i can find a new job that is actually worth my time. i hate being cussed at for no reason. i don't know how this guy got this job. i'm realllllllllllllly close to walking out on this crap job.

hellooooo!

i hope everyone is having a good week! i'm glad that it's wednesday. i'm ready for it to be friiiiiiday. the weekends are just way too short!

this week has been hectic because we had women's NCAA 1st and 2nd rounds and then NIT games last week and this week. on top of that, it's Cal's spring break so it is very difficult to get groups to work, which results in me getting yell'd at... soo, it hasn't been a fun week.

anywho.. friday, i left work early because scott's sister, dana, came into town! she's so nice and so much fun!! i'm trying to convince her to move here, but i don't know if i'm very good at it. we went to a bar close to campus and watched some men's NCAA tournament games. it was nice to take off work early and enjoy the nice weather! it was like 75 or so degrees!! it was awesome!! after that we went and got some pizza at this place called 'The Cheeseboard.' there is always a line waaaaaay out of the door. the pizza is made from all fresh and local ingredients so it is in high demand!! later we went to scott's because his roommate was having a st. katie's day party (her bday is on st. patty's day). haha.. it was a lot of fun! she made a bunch of homemade ice cream.. mmm so good. all the food was green. it was a ton of fun!

saturday, tory and i woke up early and ventured to the city to watch the tottenham game. got up at 6am so we could get to the bar by 7 (time tottenham was supposed to start)... we get there and the bar is closed until 8... because supposedly that's the time when it started?! haha, oh well.. i fell asleep back in the car. went back to the pub, watched the game. then one of the bartenders noticed my UNC shirt and asked me what time that game started and put it on a tv where i could watch both of the games.. heck yessssss for a carolina bar!! at home, my dad and i have to hound people to put it on a tv!! it was pretty awesome. after both tottenham and UNC won (whoo hooooo!!!!!!) tory and i went to grab some lunch at a cafe. it was yummy. then we headed home.. we were too tired to do anything else in the city. once we got home we both took naps for a whiiiiiiile. then after that we had to get ready to go to a play that one of the girls from 'copy & pastry' was in! it was fun. scott, tory and myself went. she was in, 'The Importance of Being Earnest.' in my opinion, she stole the show! she's awesome!!

sunday, scott, tory and myself went to look at some miniature train thing up in the hills. they wanted to use the location for their video shoot early next month. i think it would be a neato location. it was a bunch of fun and so cute to see these little boys working on trains w/their dads. afterwards tory and i went to get some lunch and took zissou to the beach. he had a blast!!! i think he liked the traction that his feet had with the sand!! after that we went to ikea to try to find a lamp.. with no luck. we need a lamp in our main room for more lighting so i can read if i want to. the main light overhead is very light and two of them have gone out and we don't have a ladder or anything to replace them... sooo.. hmph. hopefully we'll get a lamp one of these days. tory and i left ikea with nothing. boo. after that we decided to go and get stuff to make bloody mary's. it was a fun and relaxing sunday.

i need to work on my resume so i can apply for some new jobs. i need a job where there is at least one window around me where i can look outside or something. i just don't like getting yell'd at for things i can't control. i want to be busy all the time and with this job i'm deff not that... hmmm.. one of these days...

march madness baby!!!!!

hello!!!!!

yaaaaay for it being thursday!!! so ready for this week to be over with!! this daylight savings time thing is making it super hard to wake up this week!! i over slept this morning by 10 minutes and still did not want to wake up!! ahhh well, it is nice to get out of work and see daylight for at least a couple of hours!!

this week has been pretty crazy because of the NCAA and NIT games we have going on at Haas Pavilion. i am also not on Cal's e-mail list so i have to wait on my boss who gets in at like 11-12pm everyday, when i've been here since 9am... giving me little to no time to get groups together and then he gets mad... blehk. whateverrrrrr. this week has also been crazy because tory and i didn't have water from mon-wed... we got it back yesterday around probably 4pm or so? i don't know since i wasn't home, but i do know that we didn't have it when i left to go to work! it was soooooo gross.. i have no idea how people get around without running water!!! needless to say after i got home yesterday after work, i took the doggie (zissou) for a walk and then hopped in the shower!!!!! it was sooooo nice. we were going to have marinated chicken for dinner on monday, but since we didn't have any water we couldn't!! so we finally had the marinated chicken, broccoli, spinach salad, and a baked potato for dinner last night! it was tasty. thank goodness!! i was ready to have a nice meal at home! saturday we got a menu stuck in our door from a chinese place, so we got chinese for dinner--- it made me SICK!! i woke up at about 1am and was super dizzy.. went to the bathroom and started throwing up. i've never had food poisioning before.. but geeeez was it horrible!! we are never eating 'China Hut' again... i guess you should never get chinese food from a place that took half of the 'Pizza Hut' name...

we had a really fun weekend. friday the boys took off early and we headed out to go get some drinks. met up with steve and phil at the Bear's Lair, it's right on campus and is super fun! my old roomie, Kyle, works there and gave us some free beer! he's awesome!! we didn't stay out too late.. too tired from waking up early from the week!

saturday was a fun day! tory, scott, and myself went to go eat breakfast at this awesome place called 'Tomate Cafe' mmmmmmm it was sooo good. i got the two egg breakfast, which is two eggs (whichever way you want), meat (i got bacon!!!!!), potatos (full red potatoes), and toast!! mmm it was so good. tory and scott both got pancakes! afterwards they needed to go check out some estate sales for props for a music video they're going to be doing.. one yard sale we got there so late, the guy was giving away everything! score!! we got a george foreman grill (never used) for freeeee! that was about it though.. didn't really find anything else worth taking.. it was such a beaaautiful day!! we got home and ordered the chinese---blehk. i'm gonna write a review on yelp!

sunday.. i was still feeling pretty bad, dizzy.. blehk. it was horrible. i haven't thrown up in probably 7 or so years so the acid burned my throat really bad. well i spent most of the day cleaning.. trying to keep my mind off of my gross feeling, while tory went into the city to get some work done w/scott. when tory came home we took zissou to the dog park. it was such a beeeeeeeeautiful day!! we had a blast!! i can't remember what we ate for dinner.. but i KNOW we ate at home!! hahaha.

tuesday tory was back on the set of Trauma! he found out that the episode him and scott are going to be in is the series finale!!!!!!!! so that is super exciting!!! i can't wait to see the final product!! tory said that the director thought he did a good job, which i'm sure he did!! he's awesome!! so that went really well and i will let you guys know when it's going to air on TV!!!

well, last night we went to a bar to celebrate st. patty's day! we had a guiness and then left because it was waaaaaay too crowded!! i love seeing everyone wear green!! :) makes me proud to be irish!!!!!

this weekend should be a fun one! i hope you guys are having a great day!! i'm so excited about march madness!!! i've been watching some of the games on-line at work today.. awesome!! :) well, have a grrrrrreat weekend!! love and miss you guys!!

whooo hoo wednesday!!

hello!!!!!

yay!! i'm so glad that it's wednesday already!! my boss wasn't at work yesterday and he's not going to be in today either because he is going to a food show with the rest of the people that work with me... not fair! so i get to be here all day... blehk. but oh well, it'll be nice to have the office to myself again! i had a grrrrrrrreat weekend!! i'll start from the beginning...

well, my car is finally here so i can drive places! it is a magical feeling! haha, it is very nice to be able to drive to work and anywhere i want, but i do miss tory dropping me off in the morning. ohhh well...

anywho, friday was a fun night!! (AND LAURA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!) HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN :) !!!!!! anywho, tory, scott, katie (scott's roommate) and myself got tickets to go see this play called 'Learn to be Latina'. it was hilarious. i don't think i've ever laughed so hard in a play... ever. it was just so unpredictable and soooo laugh out loud funny. it was awesome. two of the girls that were in tory & scott's web mini-series were in the play as well, so it was so awesome to go and support them! the coolest thing about the play location is that it is in the basement of a pizza place near campus. you can get pitchers of beer up top in the pizza place and bring them downstairs and have a beer while you watch the play! it is pretty awesome. i think it's my favorite place to go and watch the play. we've been to three plays at this place (it's called Impact Theatre). it's awesome, i always look forward to going to see plays here. they are always good!! here is the website: http://www.impacttheatre.com/ afterwards we went to a bar and had another beer and played shuffleboard. tory and i whooped up on scott and katie (like always).. haha, just kidding, but seriously. tory and i rule (for the most part) when we play something on the same team! we had such a fun night!!

FOR NORTH CAROLINA!!!!! we found out that this bar is not only a tottenham bar, but a UNC one as well... what a coincidence, huh?!?! pretty awesome.. needless to say, we're going to be spending a lot of time here!! anywho, the tottenham game was a draw... but hey, that's better than losing! steve (tory's old roommate) came and hung out with us for the day as well. we just walked around the haight/ashbury area grabbing some drinks here and there. it was such a beautiful day, so we tried to sit outside as much as possible. tory said that he heard about this outdoor bar a bunch, so we decided to go check it out. it's called Zeitgeist.. it was awesome. it had THE best bloody mary's ever!! they had green beans and olives on toothpicks that they put in your drink... tory was so happy that he got to have all of my olives. haha :) it was a lot of fun, so we hung out there for a bit and then headed back towards Danny Coyle's to watch the UNC/duke game. there were probably 20-30 if not more UNC fans.. it was craaazy packed!! i probably saw 2 dukies... grrrr. the game sucked... pretty upsetting, but ohhhhh well.. next year.. next year.. we headed home after the game because we were both exhausted. we had a great day!

sunday consisted of cleaning and cooking! i was trying to get ready for people coming over for the oscars!!! whoo hoo!! tory was busy working with scott location scouting, etc.. so that gave me a chance to vaccuum their downstairs area that was infested with zissou hair!! haha! so i ended up making guacamole, sausage balls, carrots and celery, cookies, bagel bites, chicken bites, and some chips and dip.. i think that's about it. we had about 10 people in total over, filled out oscar ballots and commented on what was going on. i had so much fun! i ended up winning the oscar ballot contest as well, so that was exciting!! i got 14 right!! whoo hooo!! it was nice that a female won best director/best film in the same year! about time a woman won best director!! it's only been 84 years!!!!! it was a very fun time to have a big group of people over for the first time!! i think it went well!!

monday i took the day off to help tory out on a shoot. my boss said it would be fine. we spent the day in oakland shooting for this fed ex spec commercial. it's a contest, so if they win it might actually become a commercial!! so hopefully, they'll win. it's a funny concept!! when we got to oakland, we noticed a bunch of big trucks and trailers.. Trauma.. the show that tory & scott are going to be on were shooting in the area as well!! haha.. so that was pretty funny. by the way, that went grrrrrrreat. the director even came up to tory and scott to say how much he liked their snicker's commercial!!! pretty neat stuff. they have to go back again next tuesday (16th). annnnywho, we got kicked out of one location they were planning on shooting at, so we had to go to the next shot. which worked out better because if we hadn't gone to this shot, we probably wouldn't of gotten done on time (especially before the rain started)!!! tory and scott went location scouting yesterday and said that they found an even better location in the city, so that's good!! it was such a fun day.. i wish i was doing this sort of this all day every day!! but ohhh well.. one of these days!!

tomorrow is my aunt's birthday!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JANICE!!!! i hope you have an awesome one!! love and miss you!!! i hope i will get to see you soon!!!

well, i guess that's about it for my weekend.. it was a nice one!! i don't think we have any plans as of yet for this weekend, but i will be sure to update next week to let you know what we did!! hope everyone is having a great day!! love and miss you all!!
