thanksgiving success!!

well this past week was awesome!!! i had such a blast with tory and his parents!! i can't believe that i cooked thanksgiving dinner and no one died!! the turkey turned out good, whoo hoo!! i also made mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pies. tory made green beans and we also had corn and crescent rolls! i'm probably missing something, but you get the idea. tory's roommate, steve, made a really good salad too!! so we had a great thanksgiving. i thought i would be more stressed out than i was, but i wasn't! i woke up at 8am and had the turkey in by 8:30. everything was really laid back and nice. everyone showed up and just sorta hung out all day, watched football. after we ate we played some games. those were a lot of fun. it was nice that tory's friend, kurt, came up from LA, he knows him from home. it was a really nice thanksgiving. i always feel like i stress out when i'm at home trying to help with thanksgiving dinner, but when i did it on my own i wasn't stressed at all. it's weird how that worked out. anytime i needed something i would just call "TORY!!" and he would say, "yes, ma'am!" and come running :) he was such a big help. i'm so lucky to have a boyfriend like him!

friday we went and saw alcatraz!! we did the night tour which was really neat because they had a bunch of extra things after the audio tour! i liked it a lot.

man i had such a good week with tory and his parents. and it was so nice that tory finally got some off time!! he's needed it for a whiiiiiiiiiiiile!! i can't believe that i'm going to be home in 12 days!! that's pretty exciting! it will be nice to be home. that's for sure!!

poor tory had to wake up at 5am this morning and get ready for a shoot :( boo. i hope it's going okie dokie.

everything is going fine in cali. work has been busy the last couple of weeks with football and basketball going on at the same time. craaaaazyness. i'm really excited for carolina basketball this year. it's gonna be awesome!!

i'm excited that next week is thanksgiving! i can't wait to spend some time w/tory's parents! we're gonna have so much fun!! it will be different being the one that cooks everything! we'll have a great thanksgiving though!!

tory and i have started looking at places to live together. i'm so excited. it will be so nice to be able to come home and stay home! i can't waiiiiiiiiiiit!

whoo hoo friiiiiday!!

this past weekend was fun! i had a really good halloween. i think next year though that it would be more fun to have a party instead of going to the bars in berkeley.

this week has been pretty stressful at work. groups kept backing out on me, it was a hard week. i'm glad it's almost over and i'm sooo pumped that football is over after next weekend!! whoo hoo!! tomorrow will be interesting to see what groups show up with the right amount of people that they said that they would show up with! we will see!!

i have today off, so that's pretty awesome! it's been really relaxing. tory had to be at a meeting at the time i would've had to been at work, so it worked out great that i didn't have work today! i went to his film appreciation class last night. we watched 'the celebration' it was really good. i liked it a lot. it was fun. i always like going to those classes! tory's premiere for his web mini-series is on the 17th! i'm so excited!! he's been working so hard, i can't wait to see it all finished!! i was gonna go shopping today in san fran since i had a day off, but it's pretty gloomy out. relaxing today has been super nice! i think i'm gonna take a nap! i hope everyone has a good weekend!! love and miss you all!!

i can't believe that tomorrow is halloween!! that's so crazy!!! october flew by sooooo fast!! less than two months and i will be home!! wahoozle!! i can't wait to have no work for a couple weeks and to be home w/the family! it will be gloooooorious!! i can't wait till next month when tory's parents come for thanksgiving!! it will be so much fun!! i'm so glad that they're able to come out here and visit for thanksgiving :) it will make the holiday a lot more fun!!

well yesterday i had a day off. it was glooooooorious. it's funny though how my days off are my busiest days. haha. tory was nice enough to let me have his car for the day so i could run some errands. i went and took the vacuum to the repair place because it wasn't working properly. i was in there for maaaaaaaybe five minutes and when i came back outside, tory's car had a nice ticket on it. sooo that sorta sucked to have a $40 parking ticket for five minutes. rawr. ohhh well. then went to the grocery and then to tory's to drop everything off. i decided that while i was there i better vacuum because z's dog hair was attacking everything. it was getting to be really gross. so i did that, took out the trash and recycle. pretty exciting stuff. did tory's laundry at my place, then went back to tory's, put his clothes away. then i decided it would be fun to take z to the park, so i took him to this park called cesar chavez where the dogs can be off their leashes in certain areas. z loooooves it there. so he got a good workout and ran around for an hour or so. then after that the carolina game was on, so i watched some of that w/tory's roommate steve. he went to va tech soooo it was getting heated!! he was not happy when unc was up at the half. then 7pm rolled around, so i headed to school to meet up w/tory for his movie night. we watched 'mullholland dr.' omg i hated it so much. the first half was good, but then the second part was just blahhhh. and it had two lesbian scenes, and one is enough. i just hate when directors put those scenes in movies. it's just annoying. and it's only to get a rise out of the male audience. blah. but it was fun to spend time w/tory and his classmates. his teacher just proposed. he's been dating this chick for like 15 years.. i would be PISSED if it took a guy that long!!!!! hahaha. but that's exciting!!

soo today work is fine. it's nice with my boss not being here. very relaxing that's for sure. i think tory is going to be working late tonight. him and scott have to record the commentary for copy & pastry. i hope we end up doing something fun for halloween tomorrow!! i love halloween!! i guess we will see! i hope y'all have a great weekend!!

20 months!

whoo hooo. i can't believe it's already the 26th of october. that's crazy. i've almost been living out here for half a year!! craaazyyyy!! well this weekend was a good one. i had to work the cal game on saturday, but i was done with that around 3pm, so that was nice. saturday was also tory and i's 20 months. he had no idea. i kept trying to give him hints about it, it just didn't work. so as i was walking home, i figured that i would surprise him with a present. this new video game called fifa 10 came out on tuesday and tory had been talking about it, so i figured that i would get it for him to celebrate our 20 months. when he opened it he freaked out and started running around his house from room to room like a little kid would do. it was hilarious. he was still unsure as to why i got it for him though. oh boys. after tory played quite a few games we went to this thing called "beer theatre" it was an experiment to see how alcohol effected the actors in these plays. they did the same play three times each time being more intoxicated. it was quite humorous. we had a good time. scott came too.

yesterday was a good day. tory and i went on a long walk w/z in the morning. i got some avocados from safeway and made some guacamole. then the day sorta went into chaos. steve, tory's roommate had a panic attack and wanted us to call 911. it was scary. i think he was dehydrated and needed some fluids. he spent most of the day in the ER. tory and i went to see him, but he was being taken into have a cat scan done. so we went to a "pumpkin patch" what a load of crapola that was. it was a random store that had a back part where they just threw down some hay and some pumpkins on top. i was very disappointed. next year we are going to a real pumpkin patch damnit!

i've been really tired lately and my stomach has been hurting like everyday. i don't know what's going on. every time i eat lunch it hurts. pretty much any time i eat anything it hurts afterwards. it's not fun. like i constantly feel like i want to throw up, but i can't. i haven't been drinking my mid-day soda because i thought that might help, it didn't. hmph. i hope i start feeling better soon. i hope you guys have a great week! my week has already started off like blah. sometimes i really just can't stand the people i work for. my boss doesn't do anything and it's just annoying. i can't wait to have a job that i care about!

heyroah! so, i don't have too much to report. this weekend was pretty boring without tory. i missed him :( i'm glad he got back safe and sound yesterday! i left berkeley at 3pm to go pick him up for his 6:40pm flight because i didn't want to get caught in traffic. well, there was absolutely noooo traffic, so i got to the airport at 3:30pm. hahaha. needless to say, i left because they charge $2/20 mins and it would've been too much moola. so i went and hung out in a CVS for a few hours looking thru some magazines. anywho, after i picked tory up we went to see jim breuer (a comedian) i had gotten him tickets to go see him for tory's birthday! he was hilarious! it was so much fun. i love watching comedians!! the first guy that opened up for him was not very good, but the second guy was pretty funny. i'm glad tory was able to stay awake for it!!

friday i went and hung out with some of tory's friends for a bit, then my roommate (kyle) and his brother who was in town and his cousin. then i hung out w/my chick friend erin, she wanted me to go w/her to some party. so i did that, then came back to berkeley w/her because the party was a little crazy. it was a very random night.

saturday night didn't do too much. went w/kyle and his brother to this party. it wasn't very eventful. met some nice people though.

i hope i get to go to a pumpkin patch sometime this week or next! i have to get a pumpkin before it's too late!! tory is going to be busy shooting a commercial for school this weekend. i hope he has good weather for it. i have a football game this saturday at 1:30pm so i have to be at work at about 8:30am. that will be fun! i'm so glad tory is back :)

it's raining!!

ahhhhh!! so today is the first day that it's been raining!! crazzzzzy!! people here really don't know how to drive in this rain. it's quite humorous. traffic was crazzzy this morning, it was all over the news how people were backed up for two hours. my boss didn't even come in today. which means that i sorta get a day off too.. at the office :)

yesterday after i got off work i was in a better mood. monday's always suck. i went and worked out and then hung out with my roomies watching tv until about 10:30pm when tory came and picked me up. he was sooooo sweet! my stomach had been hurting all day and i told tory about it.. so when he picked me up he had gotten me my favorite ben and jerry's ice cream-phish food and some milk (we ran out)!!! i was so excited!! :) he's the best boyfriend ever! he's been so busy lately with getting the mini-series done and trying to finish runner-up. i'm so proud of him :) they are going to turn out great with the amount of time that they have put into it, i'm sure of it!! i know he can't wait to go home for the weekend too. man i wish i was going!! i hope he will be able to take some days off when he gets back. he deserves it!!

i'm looking into getting my car shipped out here. i like being without a car, but at the same time it would be nice to be able to go to target or to the grocery when i need to go and not be a burden on tory! right now the cheapest i've found is $650, which isn't bad. i realllllllly want my car out here. insurance would be sorta expensive though.. i'm gonna have to look more into it! well, i hope everyone is having a great day!! love and miss you all!!!

soo this weekend was pretty un-eventful. i really didn't do anything except clean tory's place and be lazy. friday tory and i hung out after he was done working at about 8 or so. saturday tory didn't get done working until 1:30am, sooo we didn't do anything. i just had cleaned all day since tory's roommate steve was gone i thought it would be a good opprotunity to get some cleaning done! sunday tory didn't get home until 9pm so again, i/we did nothing. it was a pretty boring weekend. it just sucks because he's gonna be gone from wed-sun this weekend so i won't be able to spend any time with him then either. hmph. i wish we would've been able to do more this weekend. he is so busy with getting everything together, it's crazy. at least they're getting closer. i hope they'll be done soon. but i guess this is the kind of schedule i will need to get used to. i really want to go to a pumpkin patch, but i don't think that's gonna happen. hmph. i wish i was gonna be able to go to steve and megan's wedding. that would've been awesome. but ohhh well. :( work is boring. i need something to do. this would've been a good week to send me to arizona state! hmph. i want to do something fun.

whew

well i'm glad this weekend is over! it was really stressful on saturday with the game and everything. it was a completely sold out game, some of the groups that showed up weren't complete and just made my day really difficult. it was not fun. i'm soooo glad this game is over with because i don't think any of the other games this football season will be as stressful as this one was. thank goodness. i think tory had a good time tailgating with the boys and coming to the game. but it was just soooo crowded, and cal started losing early, so after i came inside, went around to all the stands to check and make sure that everyone was doing okay, somehow i ran into tory, thank GOD because our cell phones weren't working because the stadium was so crowded. one of the texts tory sent me didn't get to me until two hours after he had sent it. quite ridonkulous if you ask me! but somehow we ran into eachother. which i find pretty funny considering that i was in and out of stands and then bam.. ran into eachother when there were about 67,000 people there. pretty awesome!!

friday was a nice night though. tory, joel, scott and myself went and did a double feature. we went and saw 'zombieland' and 'in the loop' both were pretty funny. i don't think i've ever heard tory laugh as hard as he did when we were watching 'in the loop' it was pretty funny. but somewhat disturbing because it's loosely based on events that did unfold around iraq war time. pretty interesting stuff.

sunday was awesome. tory, joel, scott and myself went to this outdoor music festival. it was awesome. it was nice to hang out and listen to some good music all day. we went from about 12-9pm. it was fun! i'm really looking forward to having tomorrow off and a nice weekend with no work! this week will be a good one!! i hope everyone else had a great weekend!! love and miss you all!!!

ohhh cali

this past thursday was 19 months with tory and i. that was pretty exciting!! we told me that i could go to school with him for his film appreciation class. we watched 'dead man' with johnny depp. it was pretty interesting. it really made me miss going to film classes, watching movies, talking about them and taking notes. i really never thought i would miss school, lol. what have i become?! it was a lot of fun. his teacher was super cool too and told me to come back next week, hahaha. i thought that was funny. afterwards it was scott's birthday, so we went to the bar by their school. their teacher, joel, scott, and tory took shots for scott's bday. i just sat back and enjoyed the company. they were hilarious. i didn't drink, so i could drive tory and i home and be able to get up and go to work in the morning! it was a really fun night.

friday was a lot of fun too. we went to this restaurant right by the san fran giants baseball stadium and were able to surprise scott! it was nice to meet some of his friends, they were really nice and funny! one of them grew up probably less than a mile away from me, so that's really funny! small world!! i think scott had a good birthday!

saturday tory and i didn't too much, which was nice. it's always nice to have both saturday and sunday off! we did make an exxxxxxtremely good dinner! we went to the mexican market and picked up a bunch of stuff. we made a mexican scramble with eggs, serrano peppers, onion, chorizo, tomatos, pepper jack cheese, black beans and i think that's about it? then we got some bag chips that taste just like a mexican restraunts chips that they give you! and we got some salsa that was amaaaaazing. it was a very good dinner. we were stuffed!

sunday was nice. tory went to a play with the boys-joel and scott. i think he had a good time despite the fact that it was bad. i hung out with my roommate kyle. he just broke up with his girlfriend, so he was pretty upset. we went to the park and kicked around a volleyball, threw the frisbee around and read for a bit. it was a nice day to spend outside! it was a really nice weekend!!

this weekend is going to be pretty crazy with it being the USC game. i know tory is excited for it. he's pumped to be able to get to go to a cal game! i'm glad that i'm able to help him out! i should be able to hang out with them (tory, steve, and phil) once it hits half time, so that will be nice. i'll be able to get them some food too! so that will be cool too! hopefully it won't be too stressful.

work has been sorta hectic today, like it always is on mondays. we're short about $200 for some reason, some money got misplaced from the weekend games, so that's not good. and the volleyball game on friday was a mess, so we're trying to work it out. ohhh well. at least i'm not crazy stressed out!! i hope everyone is doing great!! love and miss you all!!

well, everything is like back to normal at work. so that's awesome. yesterday work was really slow and nice and just soooo much better than it's been the past couple weeks. it's really nice to just have some time to do nothing.. hahhaa. things with me and tory are good so that's nice. we had a GREAT friday with caitlin. she told me that she approved.. haha. how could she not?! saturday was equally as good. it's just nice to spend some days doing nothing with tory. it's relaxing and i think he likes it equally as much. we went and saw the informant with scott. it was pretty funny. we then went to tory's school and he showed me some clips to the episodes that they've been working on that i haven't seen yet. they looked awesome. i don't see how they couldn't get picked up by a production company or something when these episodes get out. they are so awesome, hilarious and just amazing. i'm so proud of tory :) he's worked so hard on these episodes and i really think it's going to pay off. sunday was a good day as well. we got a loooooot of stuff done. went and did laundry. the laundry place was ridonkulously expensive though.. one of the washers tory used was $4.50! oh well. life in california. after we got done with laundry we came back to tory's and i helped tory put his house back in order, move things back in place from where they had been out of place because of the shoots they did. so it was nice to get some cleaning done! then i ironed about 8 shirts, half tory's and half mine. ironing always takes forever! but it was fiiiiiiine, i don't mind doing it and i like my boyfriend to look sharp! after that we didn't have much time before heading to san fran for the "these united states" show. scott was nice enough to get tory tickets for both of us for his birthday! we went by bart so we wouldn't have to deal with traffic and parking. once we got off the bart however, tory acted like he knew where we were going and we walked about 15 minutes in the wrong direction, so that was sorta funny. i was like, this doesn't look right and i don't even know where we're going.. lol. soo we turned around and eventually got to the right place! we went on a hunt for some food though and found this awesome mexican place. it was realllllly good. i got a fajita burrito that had chicken, red peppers, onion, black beans and rice in it. i've never had a burrito like that but i really liked it and it was good. tory got a super burrito that had guacamole in it. he was very happy. we got to the show and there were two openers, one was a chick that sang, had a drummer and a celoist. they were good. then there was this guy band that had like 6 members, they were very entertaining. most of them played two instruments which was very impressive. they were a good band. then "these united states" came on, they were very good and entertaining as well. i really love live music. the venue was really cool too, it was in a basement and had a nice long bar, a pool table. it was big, which was nice and there weren't too many people. so it wasn't crazy crowded or anything. being there made me really miss 'the dame' the bar that tory and i went on our first outing together. so it was nice to be there because it made all of those first date feelings fly back and it made me reallllllly happy that tory and i did the distance and are now finally together again! :) he makes me happy. well i hope everyone is doing good! love and miss you all!!!!!!

A GOOD DAY!!!!

soooo i finally had a good day today!! whoo hoo!!! finally! my first good work day in two weeks, i think things will start to get a little better now that we have a few breaks between some games. that makes me verrrrrry happy. one of the guys i work with told me that i was doing a really good job today and that i was way better than the last administrative assistant, smarter because i caught on to things so quickly, so that was really nice to hear. but he also told me that i would probably only get a couple of days off for xmas break :( hmph. i'm going to have to figure out what i'm going to do about that. but he also said that i should be able to take some time off during the summer so i think that will be nice. i guess we will see what happens.

i've been so stressed out this and last week and i have been taking it out on tory and it's been horrible. i feel like the worst girlfriend ever. :( i made his lunch this morning though and put a note in there for him, so .. i'm trying to do better. stupid pms. like last night i was working out and he called me to ask me if i wanted to go to dinner and i was working out so i told him that i would be done in like an hour so i would call him when i got out of the shower. well i rushed home, took a really fast shower, got ready in like five minutes and then i called and texted him for the next hour and he didn't reply to any of my texts or phone calls so i got sooooo mad. so stupid of me. so he calls like an hour after he said that he would come pick me up and explains to me that he fell asleep and didn't hear any of my phone calls. i was still so mad. i really need to get better at not getting mad over the dumbest and littlest crap. but we ended up having a nice night once i got over it and stopped being dumb. at least i know i'm being dumb. that's a good start!

this weekend will be nice. i'm really looking forward to having saturday and sunday off. it will be glooooooorious. caitlin is gonna come to berkeley sometime tomorrow evening to go out to dinner w/tory and i. that will be nice. so now tory will have met like 5 of my friends. sorta ridonkulous. slowly but surely.

i'm doing better. i'm still stressed out and not feeling 100% but i'm doing okie dokie. i had a nice day off yesterday. a girl from home, caitlin, is in town so i was able to show her around san fran and berkeley yesterday. it was a good day. i'm excited to have this weekend off. that will be soooo nice. and next weekend too for that matter! i have a lot of work to do today, but my boss isn't in the office to tell me what to do, not that he knows how to do it anyway. i don't get it. today he asked me if i knew how to print off this payroll sheet that people sign showing that they got their checks or whatever and i said no, and he still didn't show me how to do it. so weird and annoying! rawr! i just need someone to sit down and show me how to do these things once so i don't have to bug them all the darn time. grrr. hopefully they will start showing me how to do these things that i ask of them! well, i hope everyone is doing good. miss and love you all!

i hope next week is better. this week has been horrible. one thing after another of just crap. i need a break. i think i'm getting depressed and sick and just blah because this job is eating me alive. i'm not in a good mood anymore. hmph. i'm upset. i just want to be happy.

so yesterday was the worst day that i have ever had at a job. it was horrible and it went on all day. my boss yelled at my on and on for not getting this whole accounting side of the job. well, guess what? it's not my fault that the stupid lady in san fran wasted my time for an entire week. she taught me NOTHING. like seriously, NOTHING and my boss just yells at me for it. he expects me to know how to do everything and is so freaking stupid because he doesn't even do ANYTHING!!!!!!! i'm so annoyed with this job now. i feel like i have so much stuff to do and not enough time to do anything. i had such a horrible day yesterday that today i am sick. i cried like non stop once i got home. and today isn't any better. this is so stupid. i'm so pissed off that they sent me to san fran to do training when they should have just sent me to arizona state where they have been doing all of this accounting stuff for us for years. DUH. like god, they are so stupid. it pisses me off to no end. i seriously have so much stuff to do that i don't even know where to start, i don't know what i'm supposed to be doing anymore. i just want to cry and to not come back to this stupid job. yesterday i had to enter this information into this stupid program and my boss is like "that's not the right numbers that you need to be typing in" and it's like.. okay??? HE SENDS ME DOCUMENTS WITH NOTHING IN THE BODY, JUST ATTACHMENTS AND HE EXPECTS ME TO KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM. like what the hell?!!? since when do i know how to do this job?!?! like i'm so annoyed with everything right now and i'm so pissed because i'm getting sick just when today is tory's birthday :( hmph. tory was great yesterday though. he came and picked me up from work and brought me some cheesecake. he was a really good listener and listened to me vent and cry. he's a really good boyfriend. i hope we can have some fun tonight for his birthday. he deserves it. i don't know if i'm ever going to get this job without the right effing training. i can't believe they are throwing all of this stuff at me right in the middle of effing football season. it's like they are trying to kill me and make me sick. i can't wait until it's sunday. i'm not looking forward to this stupid football game on saturday either. i'm fed up with this job right now. i really wanted to walk out yesterday and just not come back, but i need the damn job. i just wish they would have sent me to stupid arizona state when i was doing nothing! like seriously.. it makes sense to send me to the school where they are already doing all of our accounting. gah. i'm so annoyed with this job :(

1 gameday down, 5 more to go!

well yesterday went pretty well. i had some chaos at the beginning with getting my station set up and everyone bombarding me at one time was a little overwhelming, but everything turned out okie dokie, so that's good! i only had breakfast at like 10am which consisted of 1 egg and a piece of toast and then i didn't eat again until like 8pm. i was hungry. i didn't have to stay late so that was even better. my boss told me that i could leave at halftime so i split out of there! one of the old npo coordinator chicks was nice enough to come and help me out, so that was really nice. if she hadn't been there i think i would have gone crazy. there were just so many groups and a lot of them were new, so i would have to like show them where their stands were.. it was just sorta a mess. but oh well, i think it worked out okie dokie. i'm just glad that the first game is over with! it sorta sucks though that i have to go into work tomorrow. hmph. there is another game this upcoming weekend so my boss wants to be sure that i have everything ready for round two. i don't think it should be a problem, but i have a bunch of things that i need to get done next week that concerns the other half of my job. hmph. well maybe i can take tuesday or wednesday off. tuesday is tory's birthday, so i'm getting pumped about that! i hope he has a good one!!

today has been a nice day off. tory dropped me off at my place so he could go into school and get some work done. i decided to go and work out since i didn't work out friday or saturday. sooo i got something accomplished! haha. tory said he'd be done at 3 and it's now 3:40.. so i guess i'm going to take a nap! hope everyone has a good labor day!! love and miss you all!!

so everything is going good. the meeting that i had the other day went well. my boss called me afterwards to tell me that i did a good job, so that's good. now i just have to make sure that i have everything ready for game day this saturday. i'm a little scared. i have a looooot to do next week so i'm not going to have any time to screw around and be lazy. hmph. ohhh well. at least i'm feeling somewhat better. i can't wait to go and work out tomorrow after work. i would like to go work out today, but then again, not really. haha.

i had a good weekend. we went out on friday night and then saturday night tory and i stayed in and relaxed, so that was nice. he is already off to school for the day trying to get some work done with scott. so i'm at my place washing his sheets for him. it should be a relaxing sunday.

i'm already starting to freak out about this upcoming weekend. bahhh i hope the first game goes good because that is my first real test. it just sucks because this week is the week that i'm going to start taking on all of the office tasks, not just the NPO side. i have to start doing all the accountant stuff too on top of getting everything ready for football. ahhhh i'm going to go insane this next week. hopefully i will surprise myself and do a great job! i guess we will see what happens!!! yiiiiikes. i hope everyone is doing great! love and miss you all!!

well work has been good. i'm liking it a lot, but in the next couple of weeks i'm going to be stressed out like a crazy person. i have to do this meeting this thursday which will be me in front of like 200 people... so that's going to be insane. then after that i'm going to be rushing to get everything ready and together for the football games!! ahhh. i hope i don't screw up!

i had a really good weekend besides the fact that i was sick :( i got really sick when i was coming home from working out on thursday night. i got the chills and couldn't get warm for the life of me. i went to sleep at about 8pm.. so at least i got some sleep. friday morning i was sweating like crazy for some reason. i stayed at work for a couple of hours, but then my boss was like 'get out of here' so i did! so i didn't do too much of anything friday night. saturday night tory and i went to eat at this good hamburger place and went and saw funny people. it was good! but a little long for a comedy. sunday was aweeeeeeesome. tory had a day off in what feels like foooooorever. so we finally got to spend an entire day together doing nothing! it was awesome! we were lazy most of the day but tottenham played at 3:45 so we walked to meridian to watch it! and tottenham wooooon!!!!! they are good this year!! after that win, they are at the top of the league so tory was on cloud 9. we had such a nice day together. it was perfect. today is 18 months!! so that's pretty exciting as well. i think he has to work late today so we won't get to do anything.. but we had a great day yesterday, so it doesn't matter!! well, i hope everyone is doing great! i love and miss you all!!

going good!

whoo hoo, so the first picture is my desk in my office that i share with my boss! the last picture is the outside of the building that i work in. it's the basketball arena. so it's like working in the dean dome! oh man.. if only i was working in the dean dome! that would be craaaazy!! but this job is okie dokie too. hopefully i will get better at it soon!

i joined a gym yesterday and went and worked out yesterday and again today. it felt glorious. and it's in a good location, half way between work and my new place so i'll be able to swing by after work, work out, and then head home. i really like my new place. it's so nice to be around people that aren't trying to boss me around 24/7. i live with a couple, and this guy that is 29, just graduated from college with a major in english. what's funny is, he just got a job at jupiter, like right after i quit! hahaha. he's a pretty nice guy. i think we'll all get along nicely.

all in all it was a pretty boring weekend. i went to sleep way early on friday night. tory and i went to get mexican food last night and watched a movie at his place afterwards. we're wild and crazy kids! hopefully this weekend will be more exciting!

whooo

yesterday was my first real day at work. it was soooooo nice to be doing stuff all day yesterday and having my own space and just everything! i really like it here! i think it will be a good fit for a couple of years! my boss is pretty laid back, so that's nice. i caught him on facebook a few times yesterday, so i think everything will be okie dokie! i'm focusing on just getting the non profit groups set up and everything straight with them for now. so that's nice that i don't have to handle everything at once for now! it's nice having a real job! i'm just so glad to be working and be done at 5 and then i can just do whatever i want! although, once football season starts it will become crazzzzzzy. i will be working 12 hour days, getting to the games 5 hours before kick off and staying probably around 2 hours afterwards counting money and making sure everything is square. i think this job will allow me to have a good chunk of time off during the summer though, so that will be really nice. hopefully i'll be able to come home for about a week or so next summer. christmas break is going to be difficult though since there are basketball games going on during that time. i might just have time to come home the week before xmas and not even be able to spend xmas with the fam.. hmph. i guess we will see what they allow me to get away with! oh and a cool piece of information is that i'm going to be getting a key to the golf cart that i can drive around campus!!!!! i am pumped! also, i didn't know this but there is a building on campus that was used in the filming of mary poppins!!!! i thought that was awesome!

tory and i were able to move me out of my dorm room place yesterday in about an hour and a half. that includes packing, moving out, and moving in. i think we did pretty good! hahaha. it was nice having someone else to help move me out and in because i'm used to moving out/in all by myself. i was quite impressed with us! tory was such a big help. one of the managers at the place came up to me and asked me if i gave tory the code to the door because if i did then i would have to pay to have them re-set it. so annoying. it's not like i'm ever going to want to go back up that hill after i'm down it.. even though. turns out that i will be going up that hill quite a bit to get to the stadium. blast! ohhhh well. i hope everyone is doing good. someone should come visit soon!! i can probably sneak you into a football game for free!! and i think cal is supposed to be pretty good this season. i think they are ranked #2 in the pac 10! so that's pretty cool!

work work work

heyroah! sooo training is going okay. i feel like i'm not doing as much as i need to be doing in order to get everything down before getting thrown into sedexo at berkeley. i don't know. the lady is nice and everything but she spends more time surfing the web than doing her actual job since her boss is gone. hopefully on thursday and friday i will be having a crash course on everything. i just wish i was learning more daily instead of everything being crammed into two days. hmph. all i know is that i better be getting paid for this! i really do enjoy working in san fran though. it's neat to get off work and be walking around san fran! it's hard not to go shopping everyday after work. but then again it's not because i'm so exhausted after work, i'm ready to get on the bart and head home. all i know is this job is going to be harder than i thought. i'm going to have to be an accountant doing payroll and other crap and then i'm going to have to handle all of the NPO stuff and get paper work and everything. it's going to get exhausting. it's weird having to do work from home too. having a real job is going to take a while to get used to, that's for sure! i have off today, which is nice. i think since i'm going to be working most saturdays i will be working 4 days a week and then one weekend day. so that will be nice.. but gamedays will be like 12 hour days... so that will be hard to get used to..

tory and i have been eating dinner at his place the past few nights. it's been nice to make food at home! i just need to get better at making certain things! i think he is enjoying it though!

i think i'm going to go to sign-up for a 7 day pass at a gym today. i need to work out so bad. i feel like i've gained at least 10 pounds since i've been here and it makes me feel gross. hopefully i'll be able to join for no more than $30, and $35/month. hooooopefully! all i know is that i need to invest some moola into working out because i don't want to gain weight. i don't care what other people think when they look at me, it's just the way i feel about myself when i have too much extra weight on me!

whoooo job!

my first day of training in san fran went good today! i think it's going to be a fun job! i'm pretty much learning how to be an accountant. i was entering invoices and a bunch of random other crap! but it wasn't too bad. the lady that's training me is a 30 year old black woman, married, and has a kid, and is trying to finish school while working this full time job. it makes me glad that i had the opportunity to finish college at a young age! thanks mom and dad :)

i really don't mind waking up early to go to work. it's weird. like of course i get tired near the end of the work day, but i like waking up early and doing something productive! it was fun taking the bart into the city today. i felt like a real working woman! it wasn't too bad of a commute, about 30 minutes. while i was waiting to get picked up by the woman i got asked directions by like 3 people and i could actually answer 2 of them. haha. i don't think i would mind working in the city. it's fast paced and i love it! the only semi annoying thing is how many tourists there are!! i'm sure it will die down though once summer is over. it's funny though thinking back that just a few years ago we were out here in san fran visiting and doing all the tourists stuff and now i'm living here! i'm still in shock that i live in california. i wonder when that will ever set in.. haha.

tory's roommate steve is going to australia tomorrow. i am so jealous! he's going to be gone for two weeks! not fair!! i want to go to australia so bad!! but ... i am a working woman now! so i am definitely verrrrry happy about that!! well i think i'll have to wake up tomorrow at about 7:00am again. merrrrr. but.. i don't mind. tory on the other hand has woke up late the past few days because i haven't been here to shake him awake. hahaha. he's a silly boy. :)

grrrrreat weekend!!

this weekend was awesome!! i found out that i got a job and got to spend a nice weekend with tory and his parents! i had so much fun!! saturday we spent in the city (san francisco)! we drove around and ate at the cliff house. then we walked around fisherman's wharf, which was fun! i have so much fun with tory and his parents! i wish they didn't have to leave today :( sunday we went to this kite festival thingy, it was really neat to see so many kites, and especially ones that were so big!! the picture is from the kite festival, thanks beth for taking such a great picture!!

i start my job on wednesday! i will be training in the city for wed-fri and then again mon-tues and spending saturday in my office!! i am pumped! and i think this job will be a good learning experience! i can't wait to meet laura's little doggie, theo! he is soo cute!! i hope everyone else had a good weekend!!

I GOT A FULL TIME JOB!!!

so the job interview went good!  it lasted an hour so i figured that i was being considered for the position!  so anywho, i ended up getting a phone call from the guy yesterday while i was eating with tory and his parents (they are in visiting for the weekend!!) and he offered me the job!!  whoo hooooooo!!!  i am soooooo excited about having a full time job!  it will be gloooorious!  i went in last night to have my last night at jupiter as a hostess.  i had to quit on the spot because i will be starting monday and will not really know when i will be able to work at jupiter again. 

anywho, i will be working for this food company called sodexho for uc berkeley. i will be an administrative assistant helping to coordinate groups to volunteer at football, basketball, baseball, rugby, etc. games for uc berkeley! whoooooo! i am pumped!!  among other administrative tasks.  the guy explained to me that i will be one of four people that is in charge of everyone else.. so i think this will be a learning experience!  i will let you all know what kind of salary i will be looking at as well as benefits!!  hopefully, this job will be snazzy!!

so tomorrow i have a job interview for sodexo uc berkeley! i can't remember what exactly i would be doing.. but i am excited!! i really hope it's something that could lead to something else and that i get it! i would really like to have a full time job! and especially on uc berkeley campus, that would be awessssome! i would probably even be able to get a gym pass!! whoo hoo!!! i think what i remember from the job description was that i would be helping to coordinate events and certain things for uc berkeley sports teams in the process of assisting someone? but i could be wrong. either way i'm just excited to have a job interview!!! i will let you all know all the details!!

well it was an interesting weekend. nothing really fun happened. just worked all weekend. i was verrry tired by saturday night.

i'm really glad mom's surgery went well. i just wish she wasn't in so much pain :( and i'm really reallllly glad that the cysts weren't cancerous.

i got invited to go play pool with the other hostess tonight in about an hour, so that should be fun! it will be nice to hang out with some girls, especially outside of work! i got a haircut today and it's totally not even. hmph. ohhhh well. i really hope that i find a full time job soon! i'm too bored on my days off and i would much rather be working 9-5 than 5-12. hmmm.. i guess we will see!

i'm pretty upset right now. i just don't get boys... at all..

so, i went to the interview and it went fine. they wanted me to come in for a day on the job. but after thinking about it i decided that the place was too far away, so i decided to not do it. it would turn out to be like an hour and a half of commuting just one way, so three hours in all and i just don't think i would enjoy that. plus, i'm not really up for selling things. i would rather just have a job with a salary and experience that will ultimately lead to a job in the film industry. so, oh well. hopefully soon though i will have another chance at a full time job! i'm still applying like crazy. it's getting sorta boring. oh well.

work is awesome on the other hand. i really like it. i'm finally getting comfortable around the people and with the work so i am starting to be myself, which is nice. it's really fun and not too bad. i am really hoping that after a month or so i will be able to start running food or bar backing. that would be awesome. i like having a job. i would like to have a full time job even more though!!

good weekend!

this weekend was fun! friday night was fun. i hung out with the boys: tory, steve, and phil. it's always fun hanging out with them. although, i cannot wait for paige (steve's girlfriend) to get out here, so i'll have another girl to chit chat with! i hope she is nice and all that jazz.

saturday was nice and relaxing. tory, steve, phil and myself went to san fran to watch some fireworks. they weren't anything special after seeing thunder over louisville, and they didn't last too long either. the bus ride back was ridiculous. i really thought someone was going to die. we were waiting to get on the bus and people were like shoving you foreward. it was scary. hopefully next year we can do something more laid back like go camping! that sounds promising!

i had a hostess meeting today at 3pm. it went fine. i pretty much just sat there the entire time. i can't wait to get comfortable with working there. i hate feeling awkward when i walk into a place! but i'm sure it will go away soon! tory has shoots from 4pm-4am yesterday and today, so that sorta sucks! that would really mess up my sleep! i hope everyone had a fun and safe fourth!!

i love my job!

so i had my first day of work last night and it was AWESOME. i loooove it! it's nice and easy which is a nice transition back into the working world. i'm sure it will be a lot crazier on friday and saturday nights. i caught on really fast, i know the tables and layout. i'm going to have to start memorizing the menu which shouldn't be too bad, they just have crazy names for pizza's so it will take some time. once i get the menu down and all that jazz i should be able to move up probably in about a month or two to running food or bar backing which would be awesome. i would love to bar back and especially there.. i would easily make enough money for rent i'm sure of it. what's nice is they gave me off the rest of the week, so i have this weekend free which is awesome because i really want to do something fun for the fourth! so my first full wed-sat is next week. the girls i work up front with are super nice and easy to talk to. the servers and everyone else for that matter is awesome. everyone was really welcoming and wanted to meet me, it was nice! what's even cooler is when you get off a shift you get $10 worth of free food (i'm going to gain so much weight) annnnd you get two free pints of beer!!!! and their beer is amaaaaazing since they have their own beer garden and everything! it felt so great to be working and doing something besides sitting around last night.. that's for sure. i can really tell a difference. i woke up this morning soooo happy. i'm really glad to be working!! i can't wait to do more!! ohh and it was sooooo nice because tory, steve, and phil came in last night to eat while i was working and waited for me to get off!! the other hostesses were envious :) i sat them upstairs and when i came back down they were like "your boyfriend is soooo cute!" i was like yes, i know :) hahaha. i had no idea that they were going to come so it really made the rest of the night go fast!! i loooove my job and boyfriend!

i am soooooo happy right now. i love it here. i love having a job. i love being in the same time zone as tory. haha. things are going really good right now, if only i could acquire a full time job that would be amaaaaazing. hopefully sometime soon!

i'm so excited to celebrate the fourth of july here! i really wanted to go camping, but i don't think that's going to happen. i think tory said something about going to the city (san fran) and fisherman's wharf. they have a fireworks show there or something. that could be fun! i hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday!! i miss you all!! :)

california license

so i spent all day at the dmv, took a test that you can only miss 6/36 questions and passed only missing 2!! whoo hoo! which means that i will get my california license in two weeks!! i am excited!! that means i'm officially a californian!! i'm soooo glad that i passed too because if you fail it three times you have to pay another $28 to take it again and i don't have that kind of moola or time to be spending at the dmv!!

i had a great weekend with the boys. we had a good friday night. tory had to do work all day on saturday, but the boys were nice enough to invite me to go to the beach with them. needless to say it was a great day! it was weird being on a beach and being more cold than hot. it was fun.

sunday was a good day because tory, steve, and myself just hung out all day and took it easy. it's always nice when tory has a day off because he rarely has any!

i'm pretty pumped about starting my job tomorrow!! i can't wait and i hope i meet a lot of cool, nice, and fun people that i can start to hang out with!! yaaaay work!!

and a place to live in august!

whoo hoo!! i got a job and a place to live for august! i am pumped! the place is in an apartment, pretty cozy, in a nice area. i have my own room for only $525/month so that is awesome!!! it is very rare to find a place where you get your own room for that cheap! i'll be living with three other people two girls and a guy. i think the guy one of the girl's boyfriend and he is pretty quiet, so i think it will be good. they're all pretty quiet and keep to themselves for the most part so i think it will be a good fit!

i made hummus and beer cheese last night in tory's food processor. it was mighty tasty if i do say. i went on a walk today and took lots of pictures that will hopefully be up on facebook here in a wee bit. i think tonight steve, phil, tory, and myself are going to go and do their friday night tradition thing. i think it should be a good time! at least i have something to celebrate!! whoo hoo!! it feels good to have a place to live and a job now!

i got a job!!!

i got a job at jupiter's!!! i'm so excited!! i think i will start sometime next week which is snazzy! i can't wait!!! i already celebrated and got frozen yogurt at this place called yogurtland. it is the best place in the world. they have a bunch of different frozen yogurt's that you choose from and then you get to choose toppings! it is sooo good. today i got dutch chocolate and madagascar vanilla with brownie bites, chocolate chip cookie dough bites, resees cups, and i think that's it. but it is awesome because it is also 30 cents/ounce! so mine was like $2.50! pretty awesome! i figured i should treat myself :)

yahoooooooooooooo i am so excited! i finally have a job! and he said that i will start out hostessing and then depending on how fast i catch on i can work up to food running and then maybe even bar backing at one point! so that is awesome. i think he wants me to work more than just a few nights a week so that is awesome!!! during the interview he said he was "getting a good vibe" from me.. hahaha! that must be the way the californian's interview.

i got a bike yesterday. it's a little old, but i think it will get me around places once i move down the hill in august. it was only $40, so i figured why not?

today is 16 months for me and tory. pretty crazzzzy stuff! it's flown by! last night we went to an oakland a's game vs. san fran. it was fun, besides the fact that oakland lost. tory and i went with steve (his roomie), phil, and ben. they are all fun guys!

i have an appointment tonight at 7pm to look at another room that would only be $525/month. i hope i like it and can get it if i do!!

well, i went to look at that room on saturday and it was really nice. i would be living with a girl in a wheelchair that i think has some kind of handicap. she has a placemat on her wheelchair that she points to different things that make sentences. it would be something different, that's for sure. her parents are the landlords and a super nice older couple. the location is pretty nice in a quieter street that's closer to everything. it's not like i need to be on campus anywho. so, i have to tell them by wednesday if i'm going to take it and i think i will. it's $600/month, which i think is the best price i'm going to find in order to have my own room. any opinions?

i would really love a gym membership to some place here. i can feel the pounds growing onto my body and it is gross. even if i walk everywhere, i still don't think i burn off more calories than i eat because i am constantly snacking because i don't have a job or anything else to do! bah! i need a job. i really hope that i get one soon. i'm getting bored of doing nothing.

wide open weekend

well this past week has been crazy with helping with tory's shoot and all that jazz. we had a lot of 12-15 hour days, which was pretty crazy. but it's good that he has 3 episodes behind him. everyone on the crew and set were really nice so that made it fun. tory went home to kentucky yesterday, so i am in california causing trouble! haha, not really. but it will be interesting to see how a weekend goes without tory. it's nice though that i won't see him for a weekend versus 3-4 months, definitely better. i wish i was going to the big party this weekend in kentucky. i will miss it!!

the job hunt is going, but still haven't had much luck. i meet with a lady next monday, the 29th to discuss job stuff. sooo hopefully she will have some options lined up for us, but i guess we will see. i'm still applying to places, so i guess we will see.

i'm going to go look at a room in a house tomorrow morning at like 10am. i think i would be living with an older married couple who are renting out a room so that could be nice. i don't know, i guess we will see if they want to put up with me! it's in a pretty good location so it would be nice if i could stop looking for a place to live! i am ready to have my own room though, that's for sure. my roommate's boyfriend spends the night in our little dorm room style room and he snores. last night i had to put in ear plugs it was so bad. merr. not cool at all.

i'm gonna go and watch the movie the hangover here in a wee bit with my two chick friends, erin and christina. that should be fun. i think we're gonna hang out with tory's roommate, steve and another friend phil tonight.

i need to find somewhere to move tory's car that's not two hour parking. merr. i drove on the highway last night after dropping tory off at the airport. i think i can now say that i am officially a californian. it was sorta scary. i really did feel like the scene in clueless when they freak out because they get on the highway, hahaha. oh man. but, i'm starting to think that driving around here might not be so bad. when i first came to visit i didn't think i would ever be able to drive here, but i am doing fine. so, that's good!

it still hasn't rained since i've gotten here. that's pretty suhhhweet. i looove the sunshine :) well, i'm gonna go get some things done before the moovie! i hope everyone is doing good! miss you all!!

i didn't get the apartment for $500 so that sorta sucks because that was the best deal i have been able to find. merr.

i went to san fran a couple days ago with this chick named erin. she is fun to hang out with and i feel like i've known her for years. i can be really weird around her and she just laughs, so that's cool. we had a good time.

i've been trying to help with tory and scott's webseries thingy. they start shooting tomorrow like all day everyday until this upcoming wednesday. i'm excited! i think it will be fun and i am ready to work and do something productive! i've been making pizza costumes, i hope they turn out okie dokie! well, i need to start sewing again!

well it's sunday and i have no plans except to go to the library and extend my library card so i can check out more than one book at a time. my library card is tie-dye, pretty awesome. then after that i think i'm going to go read a book on campus. it's such a pretttttty day, i have to spend it outside! tory is location scouting and spending some quality time with scott for the day.

yesterday was fun. tory had a day off so we went to a park with z and had a picnic! we took some good pictures that i'll have to put up soon!

everything is going really good here. i love it here. it's nice to finally find a place that i am happy. i love walking everywhere and being without a car. it's very freeing. i hope i find a job sometime soon though because doing nothing is sort of becoming a little boring, and i need to make some mooooney.

i'm going to meet some girls tomorrow about moving in with them in august. rent is $500 and i would have my own room. hopefully it will go okie dokie and they will like me because this is the best place i have found. one guy called me yesterday to ask if i was still looking for a place, continued to ask if i would be okay if he walked around naked, and then asked if it would be okay if he masturbated in front of me. needless to say, i hung up promptly. woof.

day one!

well today has been fun, besides the fact that i am starving and have no food yet!

i moved into the barrow's house. it's pretty snazy, but i have yet to find a coffee maker! right now i'm waiting on some laundry to get done.

i went to goodwill and got some sheets and a towel. went to cvs to get some laundry detergent, shampoo, and conditioner. but while i was standing in line this guy asked me how much the detergent was and i told him $6 and he told me to go to the dollar store two blocks down instead to get all that stuff, so i did! needless to say, i had a very difficult 20 minute walk back to my place. i thought i was going to die going up all the hills with two heavy bags in my hands, but i made it!

it's beeeeautiful outside. it's somewhat cold compared to the 80 degrees in lou, but it's nice and warm when you're in the sun. it doesn't really get sunny until about noon though, which i think is funny. i'm pretty much moved in, i just need to get some hangers to hang up all my clothes!

i am so hungry! after my laundry gets done and i can take a shower, i think i will venture back out. get some foooood. i think tomorrow i will venture out, get a checking account, and go to the berkeley career center and see if they will help me even though i am not a student!
