hello everyone!!
sorry that it's been a while since i've posted. things have been a little craazzzaaayy here.
to start things off, we were audited this week by our corporate offices. that was very difficult! i have only been here 7 months and already getting audited? that's no good. the audit.. well, it went. it was ridiculous. my boss is the biggest moron ever. i have no idea how he got this job. he would leave me in the office with the audit people for hours at a time, seriously HIDING, from these people, and having me answer all the questions, pull files, etc. it was ridiculous. on top of that, my boss never prints and files any of the information that he's supposed to from the place that does our accounting! yesterday, he tried to blame a bunch of stuff on me. i came into work at 9 and he told me one thing about invoices and then split for like 3 hours! calling me to ask how it was going... seriously, so immature. then when he finally comes back up because i call him to tell him that the audit people NEED him up here, he yells at me for not printing out something twice... something only HE gets in his e-mail... which, he didn't even tell me to do in the first place! gah.. he's such a moron. i can't wait until i work for someone that i respect because i will be soooo much happier doing that! it's just ridiculous the amount of things my boss expects out of me and even when i do everything he asks, it's not enough, it never is. i never get a good job for everything i do, and i do evvvvvvvverything for this freaking place! without me here they would've failed their audit! i had to go through and make files for things that were in one file from april 09... i swear.. i can't wait for my next job :)
so... that was interesting in the least. i think we passed or whatever, so that's good. the two people that conducted the audit were really nice towards me. i think the understood that my boss acts like he tells us to do things and never actually tells us to do any of these things. so annoying. the one main audit lady was from ohio, so we connected on being from the same area and what not. she asked me about my major in school and why i was at this job.. i told her i needed work.. she told me that i should find another job, hahaha. i think she knew that i was the one holding this place together ;)
anywho, things have been going good out here in cali. it's been a rainy past couple of weeks, but the sun is out and shining bright today so that's really nice!! i love it when it's sunny!! it would be nice if my office had a window though!! haha, maybe my next job! living together is amazing. i love it.. it's just soooooo nice to be home, stay home, walk z.. do whatever i need to do! it's awesome. i came home yesterday after work before heading to oakland to work on a shoot and saw that tory had done all the dishes from breakfast.. i was SOOOOOOO pumped that i started jumping up and down!!!! i was verrrrrrrry verrrrrrrrry happy... i told him too how happy it made me. :) he's the best!
i helped out with a shoot last night for tory and scott. i think it will come out really good!! we were working on it until about 1:30am or so.. soooo, i'm tired today!! it doesn't help either that some fool called me at 7:30am this morning!! rawrrrrr messed up my sleep!! ohhh welll.. i'm definitely ready for the weekend! tory and i still need to put together three dining room chairs and the dining room table and then we will be done!!! whoo hooooo!! hopefully i'll be able to knock out some of that this weekend. tory will probably be busy editing that 60 second bit! but it will be fine, because he'll just be downstairs :) i really like it that they are working downstairs now. i've been bringing them little treats every now and then.. either carrots and celery, grapes, guacamole and chips, or sausage balls! i think the boys enjoy it :)
i ordered the book, The Lovely Bones, today off of ebay. i'm pumped! i think my friend mia and i are going to start a little book club and then chat about it once a week or something fun like that. we're both not very big readers, so i think this will motivate us to start reading.. because we know that we need to start sooner rather than later!! i'll keep you guys updated with our book choices! ;)
i'm going to get my car shipped out here soon, so that will be amaaaaazing. i cannot wait!! it will be very nice to not have to rely on tory to take me everywhere! pop by the grocery after work.. it will be amaaaaazing. can't wait for Carolina Camry to get out here :) speaking of carolina... aunt janice, did you see that game against NC State?!?!?! whooooo hoooo!!!!! :) GO HEELS!! i was soooooo pumped that they beat state.. especially by that many.. and ESPECIALLY since state just beat dooook (duke)!!!!!!! whoo hoooo!!! maybe they're finally gonna start protecting the ball after all!!! :) let's go tar heels!!!!!

hellllllllllllo blog!
hello everyone!!
sorry that i've been m.i.a. for the past month or so. things have been hectic!!
tory and i are moving in together, so that is suuuuuuuper exciting. we are very excited about it. it is a very nice loft in a nice area of town, so we will be safe!! it will be so nice to have our own place! it will be even nicer because instead of seeing tory two or so hours a day, i will be able to see him (and scott) as much as i want (after i get off work) by just going down the stairs!! it's a three level loft-- so the first level is going to be tory and scott's production company-- Two Trick Pony Productions. the second level is the kitchen/living area. the third is our bedroom area. it is one of the nicest places i've ever lived in, that's for sure!! i'll be sure to post pictures once we finally get everything up and running! we are very lucky indeed!! i've moved in all of my stuff already, that took about 30 minutes, haha. tory's stuff is moving in slowly. he has a lot of junk! i'm going to have to go through some of his stuff and donate it to goodwill!! the only thing with this new place is we don't really have any place for storage, so we're going to have to go through our things and decide what we need to give away! i'm sure tory won't enjoy that day, but it must be done!!!
it was nice to be home for christmas break, but hectic. it's weird coming home and everyone wanting to see you. it was somewhat stressful since i really just felt like lounging around the house and not doing much of anything. but it was nice to see people too. i especially liked being home with my dad, watching carolina games and talking about carolina sports in general. it was good to be home. i was also very excited to meet laura's little doggie, Theo. he is cute as a button and i know he knew that we were related!!!!!! laura's house is super cute and nice as well!! i know she is excited to finally get out of that little apartment and the house looks amazing!! good job laura (and bryan)!! i had a good time driving back and fourth from lex to lou to spend time with some friends and tory's family there. tory, his parents, and i went and saw Avatar in 3D one day, it was awesome. it is definitely one of my new favorite movies and i highly recommend it to anyone!!! i made dad go see it with my a couple days later and it was even better!!
it was so much fun to spend christmas eve with tory's family. they're the best!! tory and i got some awesome gifts from his parents including a coffee machine!!!! whoo hooo!!! we are soooooo excited about it!!! it'll be nice to have coffee at the touch of a button!!! i got my dad the newest carolina basketball book by roy williams. he said it was his most favorite gift this year (especially since aunt janice (and uncle jeffy!!!!) had roy, the man himself personalize and sign it for my dad!!!!!) THANKS AUNT JANICE AND UNCLE JEFFY!!!!!!!! :) you guys are the best!!!
coming back to california was a bit difficult. first my flight got cancelled, and we continued to drop tory off at the airport where he waited around for 3 hours and then decided to take a flight out the next morning. chicago (our connecting flight) got about 2 feet of snow, just as our planes were supposed to take off and weren't updating any of their computers-- it was a mess. but it turned out really nicely because i was able to watch some of the carolina bowl game with my dad!! afterwards we went and saw sherlock holmes, so it turned out nicely!! it was a blessing in disguise! although, the day we got back was craaaaaazy!! i had to drop tory off at the airport super early and my flight didn't leave till later, so i didn't get back to cali until about 9/10pm ish. it was a mess, but everything worked out! the only thing that sucked was that i had to go to work the next day and move later that night. it was pretty hectic!
we had about a day break before company came.. sooo we were a little smashed for time to get our stuff together!! which is why tory is still moving out!! haha. our company was sam (tory's best friend), ashleigh (his girlfriend), and shelby (his other good friend) from lexington. they stayed for a week and we had so much fun!! we had an amazing new years, we went to the city (san francsico) and just had a great time!! what was even better was that i had a nice 4 day weekend with the new year, so i was able to spend more time with them! one day we went to the city and hung out at fisherman's wharf and then went to the haight/asbury area. it was a fun time!! it was nice for them to see what we've been up to out here in cali. they loved our new place, even though we had no furniture!! haha, but i think they had a great time! it was hard to decide where to take them to eat because we had so many options!!! but i do know that they didn't have one bad meal while they were here!! even though it was hard to go from vacation to having company, we had an amazing time!!
on another note, tory's web mini-series is getting a lot of attention which is SUPER exciting!!! they were in the newspaper here called, East Bay Express, they have an ENTIRE page in the newspaper, which is BEYOND exciting!!!!! here is the web url to check it out at: http://www.eastbayexpress.com/ebx/big-fat-pastry-venture/Content?oid=1547625

so, we still have a lot of work to do here, but our place will be looking more like a home within the next month, so that's exciting. we are so thrilled to be living together! it just makes everything so much easier! we're going to be working on getting a phone line and internet for the company next week as well as sorting out what we need and don't need! it's going to be a long process, but i'm sure we'll be able to knock it out fast!!! tory is going to be busy tonight talking business in the city, so i'm going to have a nice night cleaning and doing laundry!! whoo hooo!!! tomorrow will be a busy day, we need to go to the recycling company and recycle some boxes and go to target and pick up some stuff we need for the house! sunday, tory has a big commercial shoot, so i don't know if he wants me to help or not. either way i'm sure i'll be able to find something to do around the house, unpack, etc. whew.. we sure have a lot to do!!
